About a year ago they found a tumor in my head it it was cancer. Three days later they took it out and then I had a couple seizures so they put me in a coma for four days. With all of that done I was paralyzed on the left side of my body and I couldn't talk. I'm getting to walk and I can talk some but never take for granted what health you have. I am blessed so blessed to still be alive and I am thankful for that but two days before it I didn't think about cancer or my health. I thank God for the ability to think about it now
A little late to the party, but God blesd you! I had metastatic melanoma 25 years ago. They didn't think I'd make it past 5 years. It was a wake-up call for sure. Glad you're still with us.
Those are around the corner from my house. I was told he stopped riding and was letting the fall apart, it is so nice to hear that all the hardwork that went into them didn't go down the drain.
Blue bench straight sick hidden oasis in California. The homie mike and sal Saavedra are beasts along with the other pros that have graced this Wonderland
Fantastic vid... I live a few miles away and I've been to this spot a few times as a pedestrian, haven't seen a video so well produced here... Great to see Mike and hear his story, hats off to him and his spot... If you haven't seen it in person, it's definitely art. Small world... bout fell out of my seat when I saw that Mavro produced this, had a great time editing some stuff with that dude for the Nike 6.0 HBBmx Pro in... 2010? lol. Great piece Mavro.
Mike is such a great person in general I remeber when my family for the call about Mike in the Emergency room. I got mad respect for my Cousin favorite rider in the industry.
Holy sh!t I wish we had such locations in Germany, even tho I lack the skills to actually ride them! Even watching our local pros escalate on them would be a BLAST!
Dam that story is motivational and give you props man and I build dirt jumps my self and I know the struggle building. sometimes it doesn't work out but don't give up and make that shit work.
Ive been looking for trails in riverside for about a year now since i started riding again (about to be 40yrs old). all the old trails have been torn down or reclaimed by nature. Anyone know where some good spots are to ride?
I live next to those jumps and ride them alot but ever since the fire parts of it have been ruined that would be cool if he can come back and rebuild his creation of art
Just recently went to this spot. Kinda sad to see this video and see it all grown in now from the bush. Even being grown in the size of the hits were unreal. Hopefully this place can get a makeover soon cuz it's too sick!
I know its been a while since you commented but my friends are gonna clean it up and all that and do more jumps so hopefully everything goes good and it can finally get redone after everything that happened including the fire that happened there
Everything said in this video is so spot on. I've been digging and riding trails since I was 15 or so and I guess to begin with it was all about the riding. Now I'm in my thirties and can honestly say digging is as much fun and probably more important than riding. It definitely helps me get through the low times, it is a form of therapy to me too. The best feeling in the world is seeing the grins and smiles on peoples faces when they ride trails I've helped to build. It doesn't matter if you're throwing sick dumped 3's or just able to get through, the satisfaction of seeing people enjoy your hard work makes everything worth while. Digging trails is certainly an art form, it's a form of sculpting, an expression of yourself in some ways. This was the best day of my life - vimeo.com/136907109 Hopefully there'll be more like it :)
+Сережа Гринев This is bmx. Mtb stands for mountain bike. BMX stands for bike motocross, which in the case of freestyle is not that obvious, but in the racing mode it is.
oh yea, like the trash guys in the trucks? Where I live they get to salvage a bunch of computers and xboxs. My friend's dad got a working xbox one but it needed a harddrive:D They also get healthcare, hell I work at the library and I'm 15 and get a retirement fund. So garbageman get good benefits where I live but I get what you're saying.
Beautiful shaping
Ah, the dirt wizard!
I love your videos greg

loving building and riding dirt jumps myself but these are next level
That mark on his leg would be a trophy to me because it's shows that you can work hard, get hurt, get back up and keep working
Andres valenzuela he almost lost his leg 😱😱😰
Holy sh!t I wish we had such locations in Germany, even tho I lack the skills to actually ride them! Even watching our local pros escalate on them would be a BLAST!

Beautiful set of trails. Grew up riding these. I'd give anything to be able to ride again. At 40 i'm afraid of the injuries

Very Nice! Like)
Riders are a dime a dozen. There are good riders at every local spot, but there are very few dedicated builders.
For real
Where in riverside is that
