This is so fascinating. I have written two novels and many short stories, but have never thought of using the tarot cards, which I use for personal development, for writing. Can't wait to try this and find out, to which levels this may take my writing. Thank you!
Very interesting video. Surely I'll try it one day. Have you read "The Castle of Crossed Destinies"? It's a novel (or more like two novellas) by Italo Calivino. He heavily used tarot to write it and there even are spreads inside. I heard he really studied tarot, but I always wondered how well did he used it.
Do you think oracle cards can be used in the same way? I saw these set of cards I wanted to purchase but they were oracle not tarot, that is why I am asking.
I do think you could use oracle cards in the same way, for the most part! The thing with oracle cards, however, is that it's a much more open-ended system than tarot - different oracle decks have cards that cover different themes. All tarot decks have a similar structure and all cover a vast array of themes, so tarot is particularly great for writing.
