I love the German language so much, I think it’s so unique. I took many German classes throughout school, but sadly I barely remember the language, so I love watching videos like this one!!
My best friend is german and we met online, ive always wished i took german instead of spanish throughout school so we can communicate in her native langue more. i cant wait to suprize her with the words i learned today!!! hoping for a part 2!!
I am learning Deutsch for 2 weeks now, and tbh your good in teaching german language. I hope you continue this kind of ASMR. Aside from falling asleep, I learn new Vocabs also.🤣 Danke!! 🇵🇭
At my school, at some point we had to chose between Spanish and German, I was not really sure which one to chose but I decided to study Spanish, I have no regrets about it, but I also think German is a very interesting language !! and i’d like to study it when I have some free time. oh, also I think that the word "Orange" in German, somehow has a similar prononciation as "Orange" in French. BTW my fav colors are Blau, Schwarz and Lila hehe.
For sure orange comes from French, I agree. And I am susprised to see how Gelb is so near to the latin Galbinus, much more than jaune in French and giallo in Italian. Fully Latin is rosa (latin names of colors were connected to objects that had that color, and rosa is just the flower), which arrived the same to Italian. Maybe lila comes from French too. For sure the color that is more tipically "german" is Blau, as it was used by ancient germanic peoples (Romans didn't use that color, and didn't even have a name for it, if I'm not wrong)
3:49 Be aware foreigners; she kicks it off with a ***difficult*** word. German is one of the very few languages with a feature called "terminal devoicing". It means that there is a big discrepancy between spelling and pronunciation if a voiced consonant is at the end of a syllable or at the end of a word. Essentially, Germans change all the voiced (= "soft", your vocal cords vibrate) consonants into their devoiced (= "hard", your vocal cords do not vibrate) partners. This includes: b becomes p, d becomes t, g becomes k, s becomes ss/ß, v becomes f. So, while the color Gelb is spelled with a [b], it is not pronounced as a [b]. It is a [p]. Terminal devoicing is acquired very early on by babies listening to their parents, and most Germans don't even know what it is and are not aware of the fact that they even do it unconsciously all the time. It is a very very tough thing to learn because any non-native speaker sticks out immediately since a missing terminal devoicing is extremely prominent. And vice versa: For Germans it is very tough to lose it, e.g. when they speak English, and it is one of the key speech patterns of a cliché German accent. Exceptions apply: Words ending on "-ung" are exempt from terminal devoicing since it is a special ending. And words ending on "-ig" are not pronounced with an [ig] or [ik] sound but with a [ch] sound like in "ich". So, for example, Honig (honey) is [ho:ni-ch], and not [ho:ni-k] or [ho:ni-g]. EDIT: Terminal devoicing does not apply when the consonant is not at the end of a syllable or at the word's end. This leads to the situation that non-native speakers are permanently confronted with compicated consonant switches, like this: the wheel = das Rad [r:at] with a [t] sound, however: the wheels = die Räder [rä:der] with a very distinct voiced [d] the goose = die Gans [ganss] with a sharp [s] sound like a snake, however: the geese = die Gänse [Gä:nse] with a very distinct soft [s] sound like the English [z]. German children associate this sound with the sound bees make [zzzzzz].

How did you learn to speak English or how much did it take? I'm not an English native speaker either but it's very evident that your level is pretty much as good as a native English speaker level, I'm amazed!
Honestly I feel like listening to videos like this on is the best it helps with accent, vocabulary, grammar, the format is pretty short so you don’t get tired it’s better than movies. books definitely help with writing grammar and vocabulary as well and it might be easier to remember the vocabulary as well if your memory is more visual. Something I like doing too that might sound silly but talk to yourself in your head or out loud ( helps with prononciation as well ) the idea is that you will be using vocabulary that you use daily which is something you don’t learn in school. So It helps identifying what’s your daily vocabulary, the words that you don’t know in a specific language but that you use on your daily life in your native language like what’s the English for coche for example so you will check on your phone and find car and the next time you will want to talk about your coche you know it’s car. Hopefully it was clear and it helped!
@@ehrenmann8712 I would say that it depends of the school for example I personally begun learning English in elementary school so I think I was like six years old and I’m French obviously. Als Deutscher dieses Video zu gucken ist einfach nice
Me gustó mucho el vídeo!! Estuvo entretenido, como se bastante inglés pude entender lo que decías, la pronunciación es un poco complicada para mí, pero creo que aprendí.
This hair is absolutely gorgeous on you. You are truly one of the most beautiful woman I've seen. You have the beauty of 1000 centuries and would be beautiful in any time. Btw love the language class. Absolutely appreciate this so much!!
Your german equivalent of the english pink “rosa” is the same for brazilian portuguese. We say rosa too for pink 😊
