most car manufacturers prohibited the driver to adjust the steering while driving .... in the owners manual

never thought to ever say this, but the seat/cupra brand is becoming my favorite from the VAG ...
Vag is so bad, Kia is better value
to be fair in terms of exterior design Seat is beating Volkswagen from the Golf5 era to this day

When u are trying to blend so many types of car into one u are never going to tick all the boxes, however I think Cupra have done an amazing job with this CUV, really impressive. I love it's unashamedly Max power bad boy styling !
As an American, I am oddly jealous of the Cupra brand. They tend to be practical cars, just "hotted up". I don't even really WANT them, I just like that they exist as practical, fun cars.

VW doesn’t care about the North American market. Their products are crap here. Crap Jetta, TAOS, Tiguan, Atlas all cheap and heartless. Audi does well here, but the whole VW division has been neglected.
As a fellow American I feel the same about Cupra I can’t think of a U.S brand that mates fun practical really good looking cars that are too expensive if they sold this in the U.S it would be a good selling vehicle I think a lot of American buyers would buy this

I test drive the this car (with this same red paint), and after an hour of driving I wasn't ready to give it back. It is great car. Sporty but practical. Not so great mpg but it comes with the power it has. Comes from the start with load off technology (like adaptive cruising with wheel turning to follow the lane (almost self driving). I got 4.6sec/100Kmh but that was with my phone app, so maybe not exact. But it feels very fast, very playful. And in the same time, you can drive like a normal car, and again, for traffic jams, my favorite option, adaptive cruising that stops and starts follows the car in front of you. Probably buying. Still undecided about the color, as the salesman said that mat finish is hard to maintain(wash). And I want that dark grey mat paint. We'll see.
As a person who sells this product I can confirm that’s it’s fantastic! I would recommend the VZ2 2.0 TSI DSG 310 you will not be disappointed! Magnetic Grey paint with Petrol Blue interior. Does also come with the option of Matt paint.
Any idea what the steering / assist hold is for at the dealerships?

@@astarfitness2182 metallic magnetic grey is my preference ( not only cos that's what mine is) just think it shows off the different angles well and looks different under different light. The graphene grey looks nice too. I personally wouldn't go for black as some of the trim is black and cupra lettering and I think it all blends in too much. Each to their own though!
VZ5 with RS3 390hp will be a beast 😍😍

Finally the Autotrader invested into a proper timing machine.. I always wondered why channels that do those 0-60 and 1/4 mile stuff don't use a real machine for that.. Carwow had it for years..
What a looker. One of the better-looking cars to come out of the VW stable offlate.
Well unlike the standard VWs, it does have its own character. I just don't like the silver trim wheel arches and lower panel. I'd prefer a solid color instead.

It is cheaper then the golf R and has similar power at the same time having more practicality. Also this car looks better than the Golf R in my opinion.

If Cupra really want to seriously be considered as a performance marque, they need to be making an out and out sports car. Maybe they should be launching a car based on the same platform as the rumoured upcoming electric boxster/cayman?

Just got mine in midnight black and petrol blue nappa leather love it. Better than than the Cupra Ateca feels like a hot hatch to drive. Good video but im not a fan of that red colour.

Love it, its a pity we don't get it in South Africa. They tried with Seat (lovely car plus I think it looks better than the Golf) but had to be discontinued due to the fact that nothing outsells Golf in South Africa. Ford tried with ST, Opel/Vauxhall tried with OPC but all failed and discontinued those models, Hyundai their now trying with I30N and I am afraid they gonna suffer the same fate come MK7 8.
I30N is doing very well in Australia, the seat brand suffered the same fate as in SA
you forgot the 2.5 liter 5 cylinder engine with around 400BHP "the VZ5 edition"
They should do that to the Leon as well

Why the VAG won't bring this or the T-Roc R to the US confuses me, this would be the dream car for people whose spouses want them to get a practical CUV but who then also want sportiness, and it looks fantastic!

That is one hunk of a car, I could stare at it for a long time, with my mouth watering all the way.... Couple with a nice interior and a surprisingly wide range of engine options, that is one hell of a package. Although, I want to highlight that “based on an Ateca” at the start (1:02) so it is still based on a standard Seat??
Formentor is based on MQB platform and Ateca, Leon, Golf, Tiguan, A3/S3/RS3, Q3, Octavia etc share parts and powertrains. To be more exact Formentor is based on MQBevo and its closest relatives are Golf 8, Octavia mk4, A3 mk4, Leon mk4. (Ateca is MQB A1 version of platform)
They're not going to make a new platform just for one model lol, it's shared across Volkswagen.

The begining audio,It sounded like you were "Pinching a Loaf"LOL All kidding aside,I love the design,wish it was avaliable in the US.I do wish the designers would have placed the fog lights in the lower bumper area(grille section)I can almost hear the fog lights saying to each other...we don't belong here.
Really surprised to see a new vw group without touch buttons. Two new cars from vw group are going to launched here in India, vw taigun and skoda kushaq, and most the buttons on these cars are going to be touch buttons. No volume knob or no physical ac controls.
As was I. These touches are what a proper interior from the entire brand should all look like (save the integrated head rests, which I hate). It doesn't have that cheapened-down feeling.
That looks like a Mazda CX-5 with a different badge. Wish we had these fun European brands in the US!
