Welcome to this full line cab ride in Zürich, Switzerland! Join me on the tram line 7 that heads from Bahnhof Stettbach on the border between Dübendorf and the city of Zurich all the way to Wollishofen, a southern borough on the start of the silver coast next to Lake Zurich. Along the way we pass through Schwamendingen, down into the special tunnel system that was built in the 1970s in preparation for an U-Bahn in the city, that was never accepted by the population, up to Milchbuck next to the Irchel Park and University Campus Irchel. From there the 7 takes its own path through the city centre to join up to Central, from which it follows along the busy route past Bahnhofstrasse and Paradeplatz to Enge. From there it follows its own path again towards Wollishofen along a nice stretch of quiet lakeside road. Wcześniej jak oglądałem to widziałem opis Flughafen i Flughafen Cargo pętla koniec trasy.
Nie wiedziałem że to jest to samo i dojazd na Kloten.
Ja kiedyś jak byłem to leciałem samolotem z Warszawy do Zurychu i zabrali mnie autem do Gossau pod Zurichem.
Również autem mnie na lotnisko odprawiono.
Nie pamiętam już nic co było i jak było w 1991 roku.
Teraz dużo się zmieniło po 30 latach.

Thank you Hugo for another very interesting video! I have always been puzzled by the 'crossover' just west of the Schwamendingerplatz. There appears to be no signals controlling this crossing. So I am guessing that trams coming away from the city centre have priority. Am I right?

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes that cross over is indeed very puzzling and is done to flip the tram around who only have doors on a single side to fit with the U-Bahn style platforms between Schwamendingerplatz and Milchbuck. I don't know the official answer, but my guess is the same as yours, especially given that trams come out of those tunnels quite fast and would have a hard time slowing down quickly enough if they weren't given priority

Auf der Linie 7 sollte man noch weitere Streckenbereiche tunneln, besonders DA, WO die Straßen enge sind und öfters Staus herrschen ,
AUCH in FUZOS sollte man den Schienenverkehr einhausen, WIE ES in Karlsruhe gemacht wurde.
Es reicht, wenn der jeweilige Tunnel DICHT unter ser Straßenoberfläche verläuft anstatt stockwerksweise tief.

Unmöglich, Zürich ist eine zu dichte Stadt mit viel zu wenig öffentlichen Raum zwischen privaten Parzellen... der einzige Grund für der Tunnelbereich war ein Projekt in den 1970er um eine U-Bahn hier zu bauen, wo das Volk dem Bau der Infrastruktur zugestimmt hat, aber einige Jahr später dem System Nein gesagt hat, wobei sämtliche Streckenteile schon gebaut wurden... daraus wurden eben Tramstrecken oder die Streckd der S4 und S10 vom HB! Aber das Stimmvolk würde solche Überdachungen oder ähnliche Infrastruktur sofort ablehnen, und dazu würde ich es schade finden für einen winzigen Effizienzgewinn die Stadt so aufzuboren, wenn man gute Aussichten im Tram geniessen kann, nicht wie bei der S-Bahn :)

Even if here in Genoa the AMT published the times of each stop, I could calculate exactly what time to leave home to reach a given square, even if it was necessary to change 2 or more buses. Instead, it is already enough that the AMT publishes the departure times from the individual terminus, without making known the arrival time at the other end of the line nor the arrival time at the individual optional stops. Genoa is becoming worse than Rome and Naples itself

Oooooh that's not good at all! I mean yes I understand with frequent services that waiting time is so small that most people don't rely on timetables, but still here in zurich with sometimes 3 1/2 minute frequencies each stop has a paper timetable for each hour throughout each day of the week! I guess it's a swiss thing to be so precise! But I've never been to Rome or Naples, so I couldn't compare to Genoa
