Nice entry application , from a wrestling position. Many aikido schools fail to emphasize this. Also the elbow push transitioning into elbow lock, wrist lock and jujigatame
AikiJujitsu used to be the original form of Judo karate Jujitsu and Aikido before they all branched off to their own styles from different Founders end Masters.
Could this be the key - or at least one of them, to make aikijujutsu, and why not a number of other traditional (grappling) martial arts functional again...
I like the application and how he is moves from Ikkyo to Kote Gaeshi to Juji gatame to Ude gatami. Aikijujutsu its called Ippon dori to Kote Zuma. Nice video
13 seconds in isn't that a variation of Aikidos ikkyo? and my friend who is a bjj player talks crap about aikido and believes bjj is superior and nothing alike. he might be wrong.
ryan dravinski in Aiki-Jitsu it's called Kote Gaeshi, but at the end of the day... It's fucking wrist lock. Do wrist locks work in Jiu-Jitsu? (the answer is: of course!!). In my school, we have a lot of guys who use this Kote Gaeshi principle and other wrist lock techniques during rolling all the time.
Well Aikido sprang from Aiki Jujutsu. When Aikido is used applicable it pretty much reverts back to the old Aiki Jujutsu way. Aiki is the feeling and jutsu is the technique.
Don't worry about one art being better than another, ask what kinds of problems they are aiming to solve, and how well they solve the problems they take on. BJJ and Aikido are two offshoots of Japanese Jiujitsu with generally different goals. I train both, I don't ask if one is better than the other cause I know it's not that simple. Aikido is a lot more mobile and outside of the ring, it can be easy to fail to appreciate that fact, and how much it can matter. But in terms of winning one on one fights (which is not everything, actually, when it comes to MA) BJJ is the best there is.

It's nice technique but if there is a lot of wasted movement. At the beginning of this video tori should just plant uki into the floor with waki gatame. Makes zero sense to transition into koto gaeshi just to look cool🤔
LOL - thanks for the feedback Gian.... :) I don't know what's considered amateur or not, but I do have over 20 years of experience in Jiu-Jitsu (Black belt in BJJ under Rafael "Formiga" Barbosa, and a Japanese Ju-jitsu black belt). I also was a wrestler, competed in MMA, Kyokushin, IBJJF, and submission grappling. I also run a fairly large martial arts gym (cagejsa.com). This is my "profession". But if you don't like it - don't have to watch.
Good job putting jujitsu back together again.
:) Thanks man!

very good.
old school jujitsu .
AikiJujitsu used to be the original form of Judo karate Jujitsu and Aikido before they all branched off to their own styles from different Founders end Masters.
Wrong. JuJutsu came first. Aiki-JuJutsu stems from JuJutsu.
Only Aikido branched off it, Karate is a seperate art and Aiki Ju-jitsu is form of Ju Jitsu.
Very interesting, seem like you finally cracked the code

Thanks! Much appreciated. Osss.
Why not just go for the waki gatame Insted of transitioning into a wrist lock that you may lose control of?
Because the opponent's moving and coming up, bending his arm so he's going with that energy into other things
awesome jiu-jitsu, can go well with karate👍👍👌👌👊👊🥊🥊🙏🙏🥋🥋
great video. wrist locks arent one and done. but like yall said wrist lock to arm bar. but yall bjj guys can reverse of wrist locks
Wrestling technique wrist control technique for police force
It’s Jujutsu.

I doubt this really works in sparring
oh my god... how many amateurs pretending they can really teach something on youtube...
And some of them even have a blackbelt in BJJ and a blackbelt in JJJ, like this guy
