    AWESOME VIDEO!!!!! I found a tiny little pleco in my 125 gallon tank (I did not breed anything intentionally!!!!!!!) and found a male bristlenose guarding a hole in an artificial log. I found THIS video on TH-cam and 3 days later when I did a water change I took a chance and shook out that log into a bucket (just like you did!) and about 100 tiny plecos just fell out!!!! AMAZING!!!! I was thrilled and shocked!!!!! I did exactly what you did and they are in my quarantine tank in a breeder box eating green beans and bug bites and Repashy (Morning Wood). I might curse you later (because I will have to buy another tank to keep these guys in when they get big!! LOL!!!!) , but without your video I'm sure those little unplanned guys would have been eaten up! Heeheee…...I might have to get you to pay "Fry support"!!!! LMAO!! Seriously, THANK YOU for this video!!!!!! I am so in love with these little guys!!!!! One of the most helpful You Tube videos EVER!!!!

    Try using a siphon to get the fry out of the bucket to the breeder box. This way they stay in the water all time, less stress and no damage at all. This works for me perfectly.

    I personally found it much easier to put the cave in the new fry tank and everyone will come out including dad. A day later, all the babies will be out and dad will be back in his cave awaiting the return trip back into his tank. Nobody stressed in the slightest bit.

    If you take the eggs after 24 hours and just place them in a tumbler... you will never have to stress your fish out again. They all exit real easily. This method of extraction is ancient my guy... A breeder box... with Just the eggs... is infinitely better than that. You also don't lose any in your tank... and have 100% control of their location and feeding. Leaving them in the cave is just silly. Great video on how to make a job a bit more taxing. :)

    • @rickgrimezz3942
      @rickgrimezz3942 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rythmjunky5292 yeah you can se the dual chambered heart beating as they stick to the breeder box. First 5 days you feed them nothing. Then you can introduce some powered based food... Then after a week or 2... you can just start feeding them french cut greenbeans out of the can... just rince the Green beans.. and dump the shredded greens in there and BOOM... you have fed your babies for a whole week almost. Takes a day or so for them to realize what you tossed in there... but they all eventually go bananas for those beans. Now... here is a pro tip... those breeder boxes... the grate part that lets the water through... gets clogged up daily... so the water will rise... and as it rises.. your fish can escape... get some 3/4 RO tubing... and cut it to size for the breeder box... and then slice it down the side to open it up a bit ... and put that piece on the ledge of the breeder box that is your overflow... and the plecos wont climb up and out of the box. Basically your putting a blocker on the top lip so they can suction their way to the top and over the edge into your tank.

      And he thinks that was a huge spawn! lol! That spawn is actually a small spawn!
      I have females that produce spawns with between 200-350 babies every time!
      If I had a spawn that small, it’s either from a very young female or something happened and some eggs were kicked out.
      When dude was flicking the babies out and sliding his fingers in a fast manner against the plastic, I wanted to reach through the screen and slap the guy! Yikes! He absolutely killed some and is lying like a motherf”cker if he says otherwise!
