This magnificent villa is the creative vision of the owners Maurits and Manon. Both Maurits and Manon are experienced artists and creatives in their own fields, which helped them to allocate tasks when it came to creating their own home. Maurits, who focuses on the architecture, overall design and finishes on walls and floors, is a creative genius who won’t stop until the finish absolutely matches how he conceptualised the design. While Manon is an equally passionate interior designer, decorator and incredible stylist, whose exquisite taste brings the concept to a whole new level. Together they are unstoppable! Their attention to detail, impeccable sensitivity and meticulous eye for every little feature makes this house like no other. It’s a masterpiece.
When we first walked in, we just fell in love right away. The entrance has this beautiful detailing and carving on the driftwood-colored door frame. Walk a little further and you will see a half circle shaped area that leads into the entryway of the house.
The flooring of this villa is unique. Maurits creates each floor to perfection. It truly is one of a kind. It’s limestone colored, made of a mixture of marble powders, high-quality cement and colour pigments among other things. It looks like stone, but feels so soft to walk on barefoot.

I just sold a house in the ATX area (closed in June) for 111% more than what we paid for it in 2018. I am looking to invest these proceeds in the stock market because I want to make the best of this situation. However, I have absolutely no idea what to do haha

Oh my goodness, my dream home. Stunnijg! We are moving/ retiring to bali in 2025 and have a small investment property in Tabanan so something like this on a much smaller scale is our vision for our own home in just a few years.

How did u pay for land?
We bought an off the plan villa through an established construction/ architectural business. Paid in stages and a notary lawyer drew up the papers.
I also have a project in Tabanan, maybe we can get in touch?

I wish you would share something about that gable roof. Is it grass or thatched coconut leaves? How does it fare with the climate?
From what I can see, it appears to be thatched coconut leaves, which is a traditional roofing material commonly used in tropical regions. While it can provide good insulation and ventilation, it may require more maintenance than other roofing materials due to its organic nature.
