The super hornet is pretty much a different aircraft that just looks like the original hornet. This was done to get funding.

If you could reference NATOPS there are plenty of interesting diagrams and details. I went through the A-6 NATOPS for flight simming and wow, there's some incredibly interesting and complex systems and quirks.

You're absolutely right but that being said the hornet and the Viper I still some of the best aircraft that we have built in the last 40 years all these new so-called Gen 6 aircraft oh and don't forget the Navy's new aluminum yacht that's breaking a part after 2 years of service

Dont think there’s even 1 super hornet on display in the world

@Aviationist101 I meant that, you were talking about the legacy hornet and showing it. But to compare the super hornet, it would have been good to have a visual of it. For comparison sake.

Too many close ups. We needed clearer wide shots between the Hornet and Super Hornet m.

Fun fact, about halfway up the intake itself there are two little plates sticking up. They're _sharp._

Okay I'll ask the stupid question. Why is an F-18 in a museum? Aren't they still using them? Sorry, I was infantry.

Maybe be surprising at first glance, but because on most aircraft the pressurization and climate control unit are the same unit, it makes a little more sense. And those fighter pilots gotta stay calm cool and collected! :)

With all these new fancy aircraft that are coming out F-22 F-35 or whatever else piece of junk the building the F-18 and the F-16 I still the best aircraft that have been built in the last 40 years if you want to compare Second World War the Corsair the Hellcat the P-51 P47
Oh yes how about the A10 or B52 all the geniuses that are controlling these new so-called Gen 6 aircraft and the Navy's aluminum tin can boats where did they come from the reason that we have one in the past is because of our engineering Talent and Manufacturing facilities there is nothing left in this country globalization is going to kill us when are we going to wake up it's going to take more than just an election or this country will be done in a very short period of time

I think you need to learn how to use a period before you can criticize aircraft design.

Didn’t even read your comment. It’s impossible to do efficiently and effectively without punctuation. You cannot criticize aircraft before you learn kindergarten spelling.

for all intents and purposes C/D and E/F are totally different planes, just like theres really nothing incommon with BF109 E -> G/K
