It can get deep, and I barely scratch the surface in this, but most importantly, it sounds completely off the hook. So let’s get sound exploring!!

    I'm really glad you showed how brutal and complex (but musical) the oscillator and filter voicing can be! I was part of the sound design team and kept finding these incredible sweet spots that in all honesty were not fit for public consumption as factory presets. Thanks for highlighting them as I think they are one of my favourite aspects of the whole machine.

      @@mylarmelodies there are lots, you hit on a bunch already. The ability to quantize oscillator modulation independently for each oscillator is great. There are lots of weird PPL like quirks to be found by combining oscillator crossmod and then finding sweet spots on the sync knob. There are independent pan destinations for the two filters or whole voice available in the mod matrix which allow for creative use of the stereo space. The morph knob can also be set as a mod destination if you want to just unleash hell. The FX parameters can all be modulated and when in send mode this allows for modulated dub delay pings... I really could go on, I absolutely love this synth

      Couldn't agree more... this is my one polysynth. There's is nothing it can't do, and it can sound as classic, big and punchy as any of the others if you work the complex controls *carefully*. With dual filters and all the gain staging, it can imitate almost anything. Or you can just make ALL the crazy sounds like Mylar does here :) So good!!

    This synth is a future legend. Both filters sound really good. It's like if Arturia's engineers took everything that was good in all analog synths since 1978 and put it inside a box then added a massive modulation matrix on top of it.

    • @Pintosonic
      @Pintosonic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @The Art of Subtlety Well, I have worked as a hardware design engineer since 1995 and designed dozens of electronic products, what you say might have been true in the 70s and 80s but nowadays the most state of the art electronic assembly factories are all in China. Of course they still have crappy sweatshops that are manufacturing low quality cheap stuff but when you are willing to pay for quality manufacturing, you can have access to electronic manufactures that are more advanced than what is available in North America or Europe. I’ve looked inside the Polybrute and we immediately see that it was assembled in a good factory . The boards are well assembled with no flux residue or crooked components, the solder joints are properly reflowed etc. If you think that a rev 4 Prophet 5 is so much higher quality because it’s made in America, you should know that literally all components of a Prophet 5 are manufactured in China except the wood for the enclosure. So I don’t think that the fact that they are assembled in America raise the quality so much. They could easily find a factory in China that gives them the same quality. And remember that people used to say that stuff made in Japan was cheap and didn’t last... Now look how many legendary classics synths were manufactured in Japan.

    Amazing! Best demo I’ve seen yet! Arturia make amazing synths. I already have the MatrixBrute and I love it. I can really vouch for their build quality, controllability and amazing sounds.
    The PolyBrute is not just a polyphonic version of the MatrixBrute, it is an entirely different beast and destined to be my next purchase. I also have Moog but I’d have to spend much more to get anything close to the versatility of the PolyBrute.

    I got mine on Saturday, this a Matrixbrute on steroids going to the next level, its brilliant and the low end going through my Yamaha HS8 makes everything shake, I had a choice between this and the Summit. I chose this as its so organic, and nothing that I have never heard before. You don't really notice its only 6 voice polyphony. The note allocation is very cleverly done.
