- A trip across the M62 (opened just in time) to Warrington. Yes they have a football team too, not all about the rugby. Not just to Warrington Town but to the Cheshire Cheese too. What a pub, Alex the proprietor was loving life having a pub full of Scunthorpe fans, enjoying the fine hospitality. For any other fans visiting Warrington, go have a couple in the Cheshire Cheese, not far from the ground.
Anyway enough of the public service announcement 😉 The game wasn’t that great. Though always good to score goals and pick up 3 points and another clean sheet. Town didn’t offer much, though Buckley-Ricketts looked good with the ball at his feet. It was cold, that wind blowing through the back of us 🥶 At least those sat in the stand will have stayed dry 😉😂😂
On a serious note good luck to Warrington Town on getting the ground up to standard 👏🏼👏🏼
Good to see Roberts back on the pitch. Kai Corbett looked decent too, coming off the bench. Not afraid to put a tackle in either 👏🏼👏🏼 Then Clunan popping up and getting his first goal for the club. He’s had some detractors of late, myself included. Though one way to bounce back is score goals. So all in all, the 3 subs impressed.
Next up, Spennymoor away Tuesday night - yes, I’ve seen the weather forecast 🤔😂😂 #UTI

Great vlog; I was watching the live stream, dull match but we deserved the win. I worked in Warrington (United Utilities) for nearly 3 years so I know the town well.

Last time I watched a game with Phil was the 4-0 defeat at Notts County (we were lucky to get the nil) broadcast on National League TV, Phil loved it! Keep up with the end of Vlog repartee, Paul. Thanks for this. I think Alex is my cousin Ian's son. Ian ran the Iron and Steel (with my auntie Dot), Fixborough Arms and Iron Stone Warf Pub. Ian and Dot both ran Appleby Frodingham Club. Ian passed away a few years ago. Amazing link.
Best thing about Warrington away is the Cantilever Chippy. Good away win and its always Cold there.
