When i played in the 70s we used to shake the machines a lot as that would give us an idea how far we could go before it tilted. The oldest game was Skill Pool and we saw a guy slappung the side of the machine when it went into the chute next to the flipper in the hopes that instead of running up the singles counter 5 points you might get six or seven.. I don't do that as an adult. How do you set the tilt?

There is a tilt bob just inside the door on the left side of the cabinet. You slide it up to tilt it quicker and lower to make it tilt less.
