We judge others according to their actions and ourselves according to our intentions.

    Middle school teacher here.
I krino behavior a dozen times an hour *and* act upon the evaluation to bring about the consequences. To do less would be to turn a blind eye to abuse and cruelty. I live daily in the tension between my role and the direction of Christ.
    Pray for me.

Maybe those two things don't have to be a dichotomy and there are more helpful ways to validate behaviors. Harmony possible here?

Not judging, simply asking. You may be a teacher in a private school. Not sure how a Christian can really work for a public school given the "woke" direction that public school has taken in the last few years. Everything from being told you must use certain pronouns for the students, to teaching evolution, which is really just atheism, enduring teachings that support and affirm sodomy, the list goes on and on... Personally, as a Christian I could not feel right before the Lord, being part of this "ungodly public school" influence over children! Home Schooling is legal in every state and has proven itself as the years have gone by. Private Christian schools are common. I don't see how there is any good excuse for Christian parents to ever send their children under this type of influence. Its brainwashing!!!

I have always learned that in judging others that if it's a fellow believer, you do judge with love. With unbelievers, you do not judge.

Appreciate you guys, and the careful way you, Tim, explore this. I don’t disagree, but do have a question. Or maybe a hope-I hope you will place this information into the context of Jesus’ directive to judge the fruit of another, that by their fruit we will know them. How do you think those two ideas balance?

I believe judging fruit is different than judging a person. We judge fruit to discern who to listen to or avoid. They are referring to judging if a person is right or wrong and only the Lord knows where that person stands. I thought of this too and look forward to other people’s take on this question.

The Bible says that we will judge the Angels, meaning that we will make an assessment of their deeds and render a verdict. We, meaning every true believer, will also replace all the fallen angels or ex-Divine Council. We just need the wisdom to know when we should render a favourable verdict and when not to, thus, the end result is true justice. There are a few kingdom principles to consider when passing a judgement. This is the reason we must entertain a very close fellowship with God to know His mind because we must judge like He does.

Hmmmn judgement comes with a judicial verdict. No you cant do that as a child whose verdict has been overturned by another. However the gift of discernment for SPIRITUAL OBEDIENCE.... GET THAT DOWN FIRST.
