Amazingly, there is only one gauge anywhere along the Madawaska River!
Here is the gauge at Palmer Rapids; 02KD004

This footage represents a discharge of at least 150 cubic metres per second according to the gauge at Palmer Rapids, but please understand that this is roughly 30km downstream of Bark Lake.
Realistically, water levels on the Middle Madawaska River are determined exclusively by the state of the dam holding back Bark Lake. Water releases are planned in order to support teaching operations at the Madawaska Kanu Centre.
