- The mealworm feeder has been well used over the nesting season, several pairs of blue tits have used it to raise their young and the great tit have raised 2 broods, in all they've eaten 6kg of mealworms in 12 weeks.
Over the years I've tried various designs to try to stop the larger birds quickly eating them all, and have resorted to a cage, I was using one a green with a 28mm gap in the wire but too many sparrows learnt they could squeeze in and eating all the mealworms, so I'm now using last years galvanised one with a 25mm gap.
This is the direct stream from the camera so is 4:3 ratio.
