I grew up with PAL version so nostalgia effect will make it No1 choice for me, but the NA version gives you chills too . Also , I prefer British rock way more than American, but I have to compliment again the game developers because of these masterpieces they gave to us
@@Adam63545 that was due to the refresh rate of TV's in europe at the time, from what I remember TV's were locked to 50hz back then in europe so playing at 60hz could have possibly not even worked on those old tv's at the time. You can do a bit of research on that, obviously today we don't have that issue since all TV's are universally to current standards but at the time that wasn't the case so that's why there were so many differences between european and american versions of games.

5:58 this part is the reason the American intro is the superior one. while this segment is cool in the EU version as well, the computerized look of the overlay was clearly made for and clearly works best with Are You Gonna Go My Way. the rapid scene switches on beat afterward also works better in the US version than the EU version. the international intro movie was clearly edited with the Lenny Kravitz song in mind.

I'm not able to choose a favorite because they're all great. Personally, I'd stick to the North American version because it's what I grew up with; to me, the song mixed with the visuals in the game give it a uniquely American feeling, sort of like NASCAR. And bescause of that, the songs picked for the European and Japanese versions seem odd, because neither of those places seem to have the same kind of atmosphere that there is here in the US. But, the truth is, each song fits well in its own right. And that's why I don't have a favorite.
That being said, even though the song for the North American version is by far the most nostalgic to me, the other two give me a weird sense of it too, even though I haven't heard them until now. I grew up on rock music, and because of that, "Just a Day" is a song I still relate to and really enjoy. As for "Moon Over the Castle", I don't think that one needs an explanation.
I grew up playing the NTSC/J Gran Turismo Copy. And when my family moved to the United States. Much later around 2009 - 2010 I got a copy of Gran Turismo 3 NTSC/US from a Friend. I was blown away that the game had a different soundtrack/intro song, never would of guessed it ( same thing could be said about nearly every copy of PS2 games and PS1 games I own for different releases around the world: Gran Turismo 1, 2, 4, - Kaido Battle, Option Tuning Car battle and many more ). I think the European one is alright but to be honest. The NTSC/US I think is better because it's more agressive rock - which is what racing is about - it gets you hyped up At 5:57 is the perfect transition in the song and intro. The song gets more chill while showing a badass BNR34 Calsonic JGTC Car. And after that showing the JZA80 Supra with very 2000's font and style, shows other car models listed while flashing. You cant beat that. While the NTSC/J is a classic, because it's Gran Turismo's Theme song - can't beat it, it captures the heart and soul of Gran Turismo 3. While the European PAL version is just the middle step child of the intros. It doesn't really fit in, was a poor attempt.
All USA versions of 'Gran Turismo' are garbage, soundtrack of musics shit... The JP are the best! 'Moon Over the Castle' are beautiful theme and play forever in intros of all versions of game!
How ridiculous you are, Overvaluing the Moon Over castle, that song has been used since all the grand turismo, It's more burnt and recycled XD, Usa's version will always be the best even if it hurts, The intros and the synchronization of the intros are better ,It has better hits and songs with talented artists, the japan version is good but it has already become an overexploited garbage.

I grew up in the PAL region so I had the better intro, however I recently reordered an NTSC version of the game because it has a better frame rate

I'm Canadian so we got the NTSC-U version (American) of the game and I can confirm, that Snoop Dogg song absolutely slaps.
