I heard this song when it first released and loved it. After finding out my wife was pregnant with my daughter I heard it on xm radio, and before they played it, there was a small interview about this song and he said the inspiration came from him, or a buddy, can’t remember, that was expecting a baby. Ever since then I dedicated this song to my daughter. Even learned it in drums lol “impatiently, as I wait for you”.

This is the second time I Shazammed this group....I first heard them do 'talking backwards' and felt like I was back in the 1960's & 70's when I grew up. Cool & mellow sounds that take me back to the better days...and these guys motivate me to get my Fender Strat out of the corner and start playing all over again...today that I turned 62.....thanks guys for the inspiration!

This is a precious song, make me cry not for the right reasons, the first week that I was able to hear this was the same that I took a puppy, it was a long trip and I was repeating this song all the way, I was happy to finally take him home, it was funny and good with him, but week pass and then he started to act strange, I tooked him to the vet and they detected that a viral disease has gotten to him because the last owner didn't vaccune him, I cried a lot in that moment, three days later he passed away, the only thing that I could make was thinking about this song and hearing and remembering, crying for joy and sadness, happy for the time spent togheter but sad for the loss, strong feelings in a precious song

Built To Derramar During the Pet Sound Sessions (One of the weirdest and most creative periods of Beach Boys Brian Wilson's life) he utilized unconventional instruments to achieve the sounds he heard in his head. Hawaiian guitars, Hair pins droped on piano Strings, dogs barking, etc. He supposedly managed to get a horse into the studio and succeeded. Therefore the Origin of the "Hey Chuck, do you think we could get a Horse in here?". He actually said that.

yogagwx yes I agree. You nailed it. The song is pleasing but as a group they are uncomfortable to watch and too sedated looking. That type of song and tempo required a lot of moving visuals rather than a band standing still pretending that a horse is not in their presence. Also, song has not one memorable phrase to lure the listener back. You gotta create a stir if your gonna attempt to get into the music game. Thats rule number 1! You'll never make it if you come off looking polite, respectful and kind!
I think they're intentionally looking sedate in this video. And at 2.5 million views, they're doing quite well for themselves, it seems. I don't know what your idea of "getting into the music game" is. I think some people just want to make cool music and videos however they feel like, and that's enough. There's plenty of room in the music world and plenty of people that appreciate a band coming off as polite, respectful, and kind.
