His at bats are must watch. I always liked him as a Brave but having him on my Dodgers is truly a gift. His opposite field hits make me shake my head every time, truly one of the best hitters I’ve ever seen
I watch the Dodgers basically every game and as a pitcher I don't know how to pitch against him. He has no weak spots.
Same here. It’s wild. Where do you pitch him? 😅
@@BKrispy1 I guess it would be up and in but then he would adjust to it and hit a single oppo lol
no weakness. up and in at least he won't crush it.
Best hitter in baseball
@@biozio186stop that
Acuña is still the favorite to win NL MVP, but Freddie is making the race much closer than it was a month ago.
Thank you Atlanta. Best player in the game at a below market value contract. I'll be thanking the Angels this time next for our top 3 of the lineup with Ohtani, Betts, and Freeman.
You're welcome, you guys even jacked the Freddie chant instead of remixing it. As a Braves guy, the Dodgers were tougher with Seager, Turner, Bellinger, Trea in the lineup. The teams that we went to war with. Betts, Freeman, & Smith is still dangerous (obviously) but this year's Braves lineup is more lethal. Of course you probably disagree but you supposed to.
@@jeremiah_12 our offense is way better this year so that's a reason why i might disagree. The braves this year do like tougher than previous years for sure. But the dodgers dont have 5 automatic outs like we did last year.
@@luiss.3866 I don’t know man, that Dodger team last year and years prior definitely have the numbers that this LA team lacks. I know for a fact that y’all lack the personnel and pedigree. The only holdovers are Betts, Max, Smith. Of course, Freeman is Freeman and I’ll take his single or double over the Seager HR😁. Having no Trea is good for the Braves. We’ll see, probably.
@@jeremiah_12 pitching yes (even if it has gotten a lot better than it was earlier) but if you're talking about offense then i recommend you look at the dodgers offensive stats this season. We lost trea, justin, cody and out of those 3 it looks like cody is the better of the 3 this year. We gained peralta, heyward, rojas, kike, lynn, kelly, amed, and so far all of these guys are doing what they were brought in to do and more. They dont call him andrew fleecemen for nothing.
this is only the people who we got in the offseason/trade deadline. I haven't even mentioned james outman who's amazing in both offense and defense and bobby miller who's been a beast for us. I know both teams got better since we last met in May so i look forward to the series against the braves in dodger stadium.
As a padre fan, freddie freeman is the MVP. The HR he hit yesterday was an amazing AB. It broke my heart but you have to respect it.
Acuna is...but okay
^ this guy
Acuna has Mookie and Freddie Freeman on his tail!
Mookie .
@@LakerDodgerRamKingLA yup I 100% agree. Mookie just decided to go off. This will be a great MVP race. Lets hope the padres fire our GM and we can see you guys in the playoffs next year.
Crazy because both the braves and the dodgers have 2 guys (Acuña Jr., Olson) (Freeman, Betts) that could be the NL MVP.
Not Betts
@@greencat1849yes betts dummy
@@greencat1849Betts is fifth in ops and fourth in war so far this season. And he’s playing multiple positions on the field. Betts is in the conversation for sure.
@@brycegreenstein7441 But he's not going to win it. It's Acuna or Freeman...Betts stands no contest against those, so why even mention him in the race?
So lucky to have him here in LA... GO DODGERS! 💙
This is what everyone that played Little League grew up hearing. Focus on the fundamentals! It's a shame the majority of Major League players don't follow them. Kudos to Freddie!
Freeman is one of the best pure hitters everyone takes about the home run but a solo shot won’t kill you Freddie said it lest you put the ball in play and anything can happen errors bloop singles and then your on base and you have a better chance to score then if you strikeout
I liked Freddie before he came to my Dodgers (fan since 1958), but it's just astonishing to see an already great player get even better. Plus - big plus - he seems like just a wonderful human being. I'm so glad he's in Blue!
I like tear up watching Freddie play - he's just everything you love about baseball. And absolutely incredible person too!!
Freddie is the MVP in my opinion
When you can hit to opposite side of field you spread the defense out and increase hit probability. One of the greatest consistent hitters in MLB history.
He’s close to Acuna in everything but stolen bases. And he’s a better defender. It’s gonna be close
Acuña is also the best player on the best team in baseball plus he’s breaking records every week and he’s more exciting. Freddie is solid but he ain’t winning that MVP
1B is hardly a premium defensive position.....
Freddie has been nothing short of great, as usual, and we're lucky to have him on the Dodgers, but Acuna is having a special year. Freddie will get votes, but it's Acuna's to lose.
Acuña will win on votes thanks to east coast bias imo
@@jacobdodd8607 Dodger Franchise has 7 championships while the Braves have 4. Need 3 to even the score. Dodgers better all time
Death, Taxes, and Freddie Freeman is a Goated line
He's just a hitting machine! When the Dodgers let corey seager leave. And Dodgers singed freeman i was like . Corey who? Freeman is a hitting machine with defense! Glad my Dodgers have freeman!
I love watching Freddie Freeman hit, he's like Tony Gwynn with power, imagine if he was still in Atlanta with Olson Riley and Acuna.
Never missed a game. Enough said. Mr. Fundamental.
We need to keep are core forever freeman, mookie, muncy
He always going to get a hit
He never wanted to leave ATL and fired his Agent he never wanted to be in LA bt now I think he’s passed all tht and is just continuing to embrace being a Dodger and his new teammates he’s definitely in the running for NL MVP bt there’s also his former teammate Ozzie Albies and Acuña, Jr. And if Luis Arraez gets to a 400. Batting average that’ll be crazy and not only tht his own teammate Mookie Betts is definitely in the running as well the NL is gonna be a tight race for MVP it’s not just a lock on Freddie Freeman like it is for Ohtani
Thank you Atlanta !!! 💙💯 Dodgers baby
I know we all want the Dodgers to have someone in the race for popularity’s sake but let’s be honest. It’s Acuna’s trophy unless something catastrophic happens
Fred is everything the Dodgers wanted and them some. I think we underpaid for him!
Ronald Acuna Jr.
No doubt ur on the money about Freddie... And as a Dodgers fan every single time he comes to bat I atomatically think he's getting on ,. NL MVP in my book
Freeman and Ohtani side by side is too scary
Go Doyyyyyeeerrrrrsssssss
Cooperstown material!
As a Georgia kid and Diehard Braves fan the NL MVP race was over in the first half 😂😂😂😂
Lets go Dodgers! 🔵
🎉😎⚾️
Ok, it took q long time for me to acknowledge Freeman’s greatness. I think it had to do with all the crying that he did leaving Atlanta and knowing that he could have stayed with the team I felt like he really did not want to be a dodger. I feel a little bit different about it now and I am slowly becoming team freeman..
@5:19 My nephew heard was Freddie had to say and he replayed it over and over and dude still sucks. I think he's going to get cut from his school team ... Freddie is a beast
It’s very easy to say this when your a good player but just getting on base with an error isn’t enough for a lot of guys
MVFree!
Acuña is still the favorite to win NL MVP
just the braves way. Chipper, Swanson and Riley and others have all have repeated these sentiments about being a ball player.
⚾️🧢
I still pinch myself thinking he's a Dodger now! I wonder if the Braves realized that they made the Dodgers so much better by going to Olsen. If Olsen goes elsewhere and Freddie stayed in ATL who knows how the Dodgers look.
The Braves got tired of Freddie’s cry baby bullshit & moved own to Olson who is much younger & much cheaper & will likely hit 45+ HR, 120+ RBI this yr! The Braves def won that trade my guy! 😂
@@jamesalexander3837keep telling yourself that sweetheart 😅
Braves are fine with Olsen trust me
The situation worked out for everyone involved.
@@jamesalexander3837Ignorant ass reply
Freemanator.
Us Dodgers fans are lucky to have him on our team. Thanks Atlanta for letting him go. lol
The fucker let himself go. he wanted 6 years. well he could have signed the 5 year contract and then got extension later in those years. saying he wanted to be a brave for life was an out right fucking lie. He'a piece of shit.
Why do dodger fans keep saying this .. the Braves didn’t let him go .. his agent just cooked us
I hate to say this and true dodgers fans. cant argue this point there is a shortstop down in texas that might have an argument for best hitter
FREDDIE! FREDDIE! FREDDIE!
Doesn’t matter where you throw it. No pitcher is safe
It’s Acuña
Best player besides Shohei? Maybe on the west coast, you’ve got a dude who just hit 62 home runs with a .311 avg with a over 200 OPS+, I’ll take him
Only way Freddie wins MVP is if Acuna gets injured
Agreed. Acuña is tearing it up. He's fun to watch. It's his to lose at this point
@@jerrygomez3825 If Acuña gets 30/40 or even 40/40 then he's the clear MVP. Acuña's average can be at .275 but a 30/40 season or higher and his team with a number one seed (let alone best record in the majors) will be more than enough to win MVP. Braves and Dodgers' fan love hold Freddie in high regard but Acuña has always been the more dynamic player.
Imagine if Acuña had good defense. He would be a goat this year.
@@jeremiah_12He's not as good of a hitter and has below average defense. It's going to be the SB and HR to get it for him.
The analitics says he is a negative defensenly, he alreday have 87 strikeouts as well, amazing player, no better than Acuña, Mookie and some others, he is just the hottest player right now, very different than being the best
I love my Braves and Olson is a stud but they dropped the ball not signing Freddy back. I don't care about the whole scummy agent situation if they wanted to make the deal happen it would have happened. Imagine him behind Acuna.
The same can be said about Freeman.
you cant be a Braves fan
If Freddie wanted to be back, he would’ve stayed. He chased the money. Better off wishing him well and forgetting about him
Matt olson is on pace for 55 HRs and 150 rbis we did ok in these deals. Plus olson is making 7 million less than free
ACUNA GOT HIM BEAT UNLESS HE GETS HURT THE ONLY WAY YOU SAYING THAT IS BECAUSE HE IS A DODGER. BRAVES WILL BE IN THE WORLD SERIES. BEST RECORD IN BASEBALL. EAT YOUR HEART OUT FF
Best record ain't winning jack freaking squat, just ask the Dodgers.
Freeman gets disrespected only cause he's a Dodger, and there is lots of Dodger hate.
I hope this MF doesn't it or anything huge award again.
I get it, i do… I love Freddie but if you don’t think Acuña is the MVP you’re insane
1. "whatever reason" Freeman's agent worked with Cashman to not give Atlanta final offer which considering California taxes would have been the same net.
2. No defensive errors.... He plays first base....
3. Shows a homerun AB againt a 43 year old pitcher.
Who is Cashman??? Because the Yankees didn't have anything to do with the Freeman contract in Los Angeles. Yes he plays first base one of the most important positions on the field. And at 43 Rich Hill is still a better pitcher than you in your prime. It's clear you have no clue what you are talking about!
no the hell he's not lmfao
acuna basically has that MVP locked-in
you objectively wrong if you dont think its at least a close race
@@andrewlee8623 it won't be. acuna will be unanimous
@@patricknashhunanimous 😂😂😂we’ll see about that pal
@@BASEBALLfreakFORlife if he reaches 40 hrs and 70 sbs on the best team in baseball - yes, unanimous. and that's no shade to freeman, he's mr consistency having another great year. but that's kind of the problem - it's just another great year. acuna's could be historic
@@patricknashhFreeman leads in all categories except SB and Hrs. Who's MVP now? Freeman!!
As a Braves fan love Freddie. He isnt Ronnie! Dodgerss fans dont kid yourself
as a braves fan, I hate the guy
Success is the best revenge.
By that you that you're saying in effect sucked as a brave.
nah it aint Teeth
We want Acuna
Such a shame he's playing for the Dodgers.
Best franchise and venue to play for . Keep on envying.
@@elbuchito2907 living in a shithole city and playing for an organization that hosted the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence? No envy here, soy boy. 🖕
Dodgers vs Astros in the WS
If that's the case I hope the Astros kick the dodgers ass and sweep them.
acuna and olson better
