I have one of these running on a mspnp2 9395 megasquirt still working on the tune though ignition is being a little tricky at the moment had to bring my idle timing way down the right around 10 degrees just to get my AFR in a usable range haven't had it long. Any advice on tuning one of these?
Hi mate. I have a MS2 too, but isn't installed until now. I think I will try it this year, after rebuild my engine. But I heard idle controll should be easier if you use a KLG4 crankpulley, because it has a triggerwheel.
I honestly don't know much about these I got the car on trade and I'm just trying to make the best of it but it is identical to the one in the video. The trouble I'm having with mine is when I get the timing download enough for the AFR to be happy and Idol then I start having acceleration issues just above idle it will break up and spit sputter in the low corner of the timing out and where I have to have the fuel map probably I want to say 2 to 3 High and for across all in the 1's just to idle.
Ja vorher waren es 199. Jetzt ist er 100-200 mal eben 2sek langsamer, das ist fast die Zeit die ich mit 179PS gefahren bin, deswegen schätze ich wird er ungefähr bei 185 liegen. Musste die original Nockenwellenräder verbauen, weil die verstellbaren die ich bestellt habe noch immer nicht da sind. Und jetzt passen die Steuerzeiten halt nicht. Ich denke und hoffe dass es daher kommt, aber meiner Erfahrung nach machen die Steuerzeiten schon Welten aus.
@@christonne7465 Ja ich glaube schon. Der ist auf der hinteren Bank 1/3-1/2 Zahn versetzt. Ich hatte schon viele Motoren wo mal der Zahnriemen falsch aufgelegt wurde. Mein Honda hatte statt 110PS geschätzte 75PS. Bei meinem MR-2 war es sogar so krass, dass er knapp die Hälfte an Leistung hatte weil der Riemen ein Zahn versetzt war. Steuerzeiten machen schon sehr viel aus. Aber obs daran liegt werd ich sehen sobald ich das korrigiert habe.
Why Are you driving od mx6 gearbox? For N/A k8 gearbox is the best. Where have you put microphone? Sound of exhaust is great. Btw, what is your time 100-200?
K8 gearbox is the worst for KL engine. It's so short that you lose too much time with shifting and the engine is only for short time in the full power range. Had a KLDE with K8 gearbox long time ago, I would never do this again. I drove Xedos6 gearbox before, is the best choice for a stock KL in my opinion. But the gearbox was leaking inside. The MX6 gearbox was lying around, so I take it. 100-200kmh measured from speedo 15s with Xedos6 and MX6 gearbox the same time. But MX6 gearbox is relaxed on the Highway, has better fuel economy and more highspeed as well. Mic was outside near to the Trunk and connected to the gopro.
Hmm. If you dont shift enough qucik perhaps you right. I have KLDE with less power than your KLZE, especially in high RPMs. You done 1/4 mile time 14.3, my best for klde is 14.21 with k8 gearbox. So i dont think that mx6 xedos 6 or any of that gearbox is better for mx3 performance of course, because economy is better on KL gearbox.
The Xedos6 gearbox is the same in gear 1-3 as the K8. Maybe it isn't slower, but I don't think the K8 gearbox ist faster. I saw you video, your KLDE is really fast and the power is near to the same like my engine has. I had 199hp at the last dynorun and 1/4 was 14,3. But I drove a 14,2 in past with only 179hp. There are big differences in the 1/4mile tracks. So I think you can't campare this time. It's the same thing like dynos, every dyno shows differences to another. What's the weight of your car?
Same tires/wheel size for both of you? I doubt it. Probe GT has a closer ratio G series than the MX-6, 4.33 final I believe, to the MX-6's 4.1 something. It's been awhile since I've seen the gear ratios compared. Most of the Mazdas had longer gear ratios. Probe top speed was 140-ish (143mph?) the shortest quickest gearbox. If you swapped in an MX-6 5th you could get just get over 160mph. 70mph in 5th my tach is around 3300 rpms, just over 60mph in 2nd. I also believe you can get some gear ratios out of a Ford Escort. So quicker Probe GT G series, Faster MX-6, 626 G series. Hope this helps.

@@ZeoRyu I race against many cars and belive me k8 gearbox sometimes was the thing that make my car faster than other. My car weight is 1080kg.
