"This is a Kanye song!?" is the reaction of every person who has heard of Kanye but not his music lol. The man has 22 grammy's and one of the best ranked discographies in ALL of music (according to Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, etc), yet a lot of people are surprised when they hear his genre-defying music still. You should check out Hey Mama (was released two years prior to her passing) and Come To Life (a song off of his most recent 2021 album "Donda" - named after his late mother)

Love that you’ve taken time to listen to his songs. A lot of people don’t take the chance to do so simply because of the deliberate unfair media portrayal of Ye. This guy is our modern day Beethoven and deserves his flowers.
The higher ups and corporates don’t want a black man to be known as the greatest artist of our generation. Especially as his music speaks against everything main stream and encourages high self esteem. Something they try to take away from us with degrading music. Music can control generations and they know it.

John Legend is the one singing at first actually. He purposely made his voice sound like that. Sounds almost like a different person.
I'd recommend you check out Hey Mama by Kanye. Its about his mother and basically thanking her. 2 years after it came out, she passed. Its one of the fan favorite songs. Super emotional. From 2005's Late Registration.

I really like what you're doing with this channel. Kanye is my favorite artist so I hope you keep reacting to him, but another one of my favorites is Father John Misty if you're into indie/folk rock at all. I'm not sure what song would be the best to start with; I usually recommend full albums, but I understand why you might want to keep the videos bite-sized. A few of Kanye's albums are pretty short, though; I'd suggest Ye (featuring "Ghost Town"), Kids See Ghosts, or Jesus is King if you want to experience the larger context of his work. Keep up the quality content!

@@hunterb7549 Good point, I know his past catalogue is considered to be by most, Hip Hop cannon. He's said to have been very influential, I give the man his due, it's just so painful to see him suffering with his mental issues... I hope he gets the help he needs, but between the Harriet Tubman outbursts and the other stuff , he makes it difficult to for me to buy his music in good conscience.
It's all so tragic, Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson, too many to name, all the big Superstars get to a place where they surround themselves with people who will only say yes to whatever they want. No one says "no" to Kanye, he is a genius and nobody can think or say otherwise. I don't hate Kanye, just the stupid he says..
@@scottcortmeister4164 I agree Kanye is certainly not a genius in the every day sense like maybe he’d like to think, and the outbreaks are super hard to watch. But to me, and I think his fans his music his like catching lightning in a bottle, despite his personality, that’s part of what makes him so interesting as an artist.
