  • Pride, regret: Petch's trainers experience mixed feelings about his newly-reached levels of power after a session of ten-minute training rounds leaves them feeling like they've been hit by a truck.
    The GLORY World Featherweight Champion is now on the ground in Amsterdam, preparing to lay his belt on the line against former champion Serhiy Adamchuk at GLORY 75 UTRECHT this Saturday, February 29.
    This is Episode 1 of INSIDE GLORY: FIGHT WEEK - GLORY 75

    Pretty sure he was in his prime when he dominated Lumpinee lightweight scene. Im surprised he can get motivated to keep outclassing guys.

      Lol he was at in his prime since 15 years old till now .
      Now he is still in his prime .
      At 15-18 he is in his competitive prime , now he is in his physical prime .
      Doesn't mean he will get that red hot fire like when he was still 17 but it mean that his body has reached it physical peak .

    A boy no more ? Isn't 25 an old man buy Muay Thai standards ?

    • @8limbedwarriornakmuay175
      @8limbedwarriornakmuay175 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nope , huge misconception .
      Koana , Wanchalong and Seksan are In Their 30s and still fight at the highest level in Muay Thai .
      Thai don't all stop at 26+ that is a myth , some do but most don't .

    • @mekongfarang
      @mekongfarang 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      listen dummy. Kiatmoo9 fighters are not hobbyist. Muay Thai is a way of life for Kiatmoo9 fighters fight until their bodies can no longer fight. Petchpanomrung's uncle Singdam is in his late 30's and still fighting and training full time & Panomrunglek only recently retired because Evolve MMA in Singapore offered him a job. Kiatmoo9 fighters don't do Muay Thai they ARE Muay Thai. They train like Spartans and schedule multiple fights in a row.
      Petchpnomrung hates kickboxing rules like all Thai's do and is only fighting in this dumb ass sport for the Higher purse (He already got in good with the promotion and is the current champion so he will ride it out and keep taking the pay days until he decided to return to Muay Thai). Once he is done his run with glory he will return to fighting in the Muay Thai scene as Sitthichai is now doing.

      @@mekongfarang Chill out man. Most Muay Thai fighters do retire well before other professional fighters do. Of course there are exceptions like Buakow but he isn't typical.
      Yes Petch is making more money in Glory but he is also demonstrating the power of Muay Thai to the world. If elbows were legal nobody would stand a chance against him.

    • @mekongfarang
      @mekongfarang 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Infinite Monkey dummy. You missed my main point.
      You obviously dont know Muay Thai very well. Most Yod Muay (elite Fighters) fight well into their 30's. There are even many 30+ year old champions in Thailand right now. Jomhod, Wanchalong, Seksan, Sittisak and Jomthong Chuwattana are all 30+ and currently holding stadium titles. Petchtaksin recently vacated his belt he is 35.
      Stop posting comments about a sport you obviously know nothing about. I know every aspect of the Muay Thai industry in Thailand and most Yod Muay (Elite Fighters) have long careers. Certain fighters based on Fighting style tend to retire earlier than others for example Petchboonchu who was a Muay khao pressure fighter retured at 25 because his style required him to be physically stronger than his opponents whoch required insane traning intensity that is impossible to maintain. Technical fighters do not require that level of training so they have prolonged careers (Why Saenchai is 40 and still fighting).

    • @mekongfarang
      @mekongfarang 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Infinite Monkey response to your second comment.
      Most Western fighters don't even make it past the Amateur stage (They never turn pro) so i think it's safe to say Thai's on average have longer careers (or a Career to even speak of)
