I do miss my metropolitan. I have a Genuine Buddy kick 125. It's a great scooter. There is something cool about riding long distance on a 50cc. I have thought about getting another one. ✌️
My first scoot was a 2 stroke gilera Stalker. Piaggio engines. I've managed up to 55+mph with it. Was unrestricted 4 stroke 50cc are too slow in both top end and acceleration when compared to a 2 stroke. And this is also why they're basically dying. Current 125cc scooters are the obvious choice. Legit upgrade from old 2 strokes 50cc
That was the best Honda Metropolitan Video on TH-cam! Hills were a big deal to me where I live at the moment. Just bought a Class A and needed a cool ride to mount on the back! Honda? Or Honda🤔 Because of your great video, I chose the Metro over the Monkey. Have a great day! You seem very nice!
Honda metros are awesome and reliable. I have an 04 with 10,000 miles, and I own a regular cab Tacoma, I can honestly say I trust the honda scooter more than my truck. I tell people it goes 35. Uphill 35 , against wind 35, downhill 35. They chug along
There’s a massive difference between them. The modern Metropolitan is a legit vehicle for around town conveyances. It has storage out the ears, is more substantial and stable as well. Plus it gets @ 117 miles per gallon.
@@alanalford5996yeah this is an honest number. I have a 2022 metro and I’m 220, though I can hit 41 if I’m really really lucky with fully inflated tires.
Oh what I would do to see 45mph. I live in a small town where most roads are 20 mph. A few are 30-35 and very few are 40-45. If I could get another 5-10 mph I’d be golden. As it is I’m good 90% of the time.
What gloves are those? Are they warm? They look nice. Been trying to find a good glove for riding my Metropolitan that will keep my hands warm. Thanks for the video!
@@reempire888 it’s been released in Europe & other areas as the Giorno +, as a big brother to the 50cc Giorno ( or Metropolitan as we know it.) I’m not remembering for certain but I thought we got it in the US later this year as the 125 cc Metropolitan +. Cool 😎 right?
beautiful and daring
Thank you! Cheers!

Oh so true!
cool!
Thanks, I really enjoy it.
I’ve had several sprees I’ve wanted a metropolitan but I was always told they were the same size but there’s a huge difference

How fast does it go?
38.5 mph down hill with a tailwind and a 200+ pound rider.

They are simply leather work gloves I got at the Farm & Home store. They’re not insulated like a winter glove but outside of that they work great. 👍🏻
Where do you live that place is beautiful
I live in Oregon in the Columbia Gorge near Hood River. Yes, much of the land here is designated part of the national scenic area.
I just wish they put a 150cc motor in these
I believe we will see a 125cc Metropolitan Plus this year.
@@alanalford5996 what makes you say that? That would be awesome tho

@alanalford5996 yea that will be fun
👍👍
Do yourself a favour and put in some 5 gram dr pulley sliders……..lose a little top end but you take off quickly even on hills
