One of the coolest details thats easy to miss is that every time Akuma "Kills" Chameleon, he loses one of the ninja's powers. Its most easily visible when Akuma Raging Demon's Chameleon when he's frozen, and he tries to ice clone immediately afterwards and it fails. Thats why at the end of the fight he's only able to use Scorpion's moveset.
You have no idea how fucking mad I was back in the day that Akuma won. I really felt Chameleon's victory was robbed. Then again I didn't speak English either back then, and that's probably for the better 💀

They completed Chameleon, Scorpion, Ryu Shin Lvl 2 Akuma , and Reptile from the M2 Surviving video. Shit was raw, all the supers were true to the source material. Much simpler times back then.

It also made me appreciate how fluid and weighty SFIII's sprite animations were. It must have taken this guy forever to animate all that.
The best part to me is the threat of Akuma becoming Shao Khan's sex slave, because as of MK Aftermath that is canonically some creeper ass shit he does to strong fighters This man was truly ahead of his time
Lemme put it like this, I fucking WISH they implemented the ability to just do a deliberately slow fireball and turn that into a STAGE HAZARD for a bit. (Obviously downsides would be that enough fireballs would remove it, Banishing Flat would negate it but risks eating a BUNCH of hits as a trade off) Obviously it makes for mind games because suddenly that confidence you read the super right vanishes but it has the risk of 'Well now YOU'RE trapped' as the fireball will hurt you too if you make contact. I know that there's no way to balance that shit out but it's just really neat.
