I like the first one a lot where the gopro went thru the rings of the fence. The Ad wasnt annoying at all, I like how you said youre giving back the 20s lost. Thanks for the pointers! I hope to use all of them during family vacations. Keep up the good work, wish you a successful career as a TH-camr.
I definitely have to try out the camera through object shot. For my family travel vlog I’ll be incorporating these shots. You are my go to person to learn different ways to film. Love the content and length of these videos.
Matte Mani no, because he would also turn the shutter speed down, wich brings more light to the image. The main reason for a nd filter is being able to lower your shutter speed, and aperture without overexposing your video
@@mateodillon9412 Thanks, My camera has various built in ND filters and I have used them in the past when filming on the streets in the sun but I haven't done a ton of research or practice.
Edit 12.01: I've just released my online GoPro filmmaking course - link in description 🤩 I got 3 questions for you today: 1. Which was your favorite shot 2. How did you like the transition to the ad? 3. Was the ad annoying?
My personal favorite is the first one, filming through an object. I found the ad interesting as it has to do with the topic of your videos. If it would be something totally different then it would be annoying ;) The transition was cool. Maybe add an additional effect like a zoom out of / into the laptop
1- I like the shots when you go through an object like you did with the fence or a window. One trick i would like to do is the same technique but having the same person on the same sequence like this th-cam.com/video/vDfWQHaW1aw/w-d-xo.html between sequences 1:06 min and 1:10 just great effect. 2- Nice transition to stop your video our you pc and make the Ad, well done !! 3- I think this is a personal opinions, some like, others not. If it is a product that you do not use personally , i would say, be careful to do not disappoint your audience if they buy it. but if it is a product that you use and you are very satisfied with it, i would say go... it will help your listeners and at the same time, they will have more confidence on your videos.
I just got a gopro 7 black a few months ago been trying to figure out how to do some alternative shots. I love your tutorials that you have done. I will try to practice shooting more and it has got me more inspired. Thanks Jan Greetings from Seattle!
So glad these videos are here! They have helped me so much and continue to help me create better GoPro footage! We still have the GoPro Hero 7, but it is an amazing camera and I can't imagine not having it
Thank you Dave. One thing I have to make clear: I use Premiere Pro, not Filmora. However, Filmora is a great editing software. Some friends of mine use that program and their videos are amazing :)
@@JanKlaeui many thanks for the great advice. I'm not really worthy of Premier Pro, one of my pal uses it, but the Filmora update seems to be all that I need. But one day, you never know, Mr Spielberg may knock on my door and give it to me for free. Ha ha. Best wishes, Dave.
Keep it up! The sample clip with all the effects/shots added gives a nice brief overview! It improves the whole video, well done. I’d like to see your way of the ‘zoom out of screen’ transition for your ad. Because there are different ways of doing that transition and I liked yours the most.
Greetings from Portugal! I'm a huge fan of your channel. Excelent job, always very usefull tips. Can you make a special series about motorcycle helmet cameras? Such as "Contour" and "Sena" Prism tube wifi? You known the major issue to me is operating the camera with the motorcycle gloves on, while driving the bike. So in this conditions the "Gopro" its not suitable for this purpose (due to small buttons, mainly). Thanks.
A rather interesting effect with a person in a time lapse is to have the person move VERY slowly. The timing is tricky, but if you have a 15x speed and they move at 1/15 the speed, they look normal while everyone around them moves very fast.
@@JanKlaeui You have to take into account that 1 second at normal speed is X seconds at time lapse. In my case, I knew that 1 one second screen event took 24 seconds in time lapse. I had to count off the time to myself. See 1:07 in the video: th-cam.com/video/EzzDWFbsIvw/w-d-xo.html
@@Idek-ft4cy Go PRo Quik kind of sucks. I am just getting into the Go Pro world instead of traditional cameras and am finding some issues with compiling time lapse etc... Just not as user friendly as other cameras I have.

For the timelapse, have u tried using nd filter and long exposure so that people appear blurred out. It makes timelapse awesome.
No, but I have to try it out🤗
Would the ND filter make the video much darker though?
