Yes. A long-time friend, then girlfriend, then living partner, then wife. A substantially long courtship. Sure it may work, if you're just meeting, somewhat new and head over heels....problems Will arise, conflicts will have to be settled. Perhaps a better chance with a person you've known since grade school or similar. But you best KNOW where you and her sit Exactly on certain issues/topics. Be it child-raising, political affiliation, abortion, gun rights, TV show likes, etc. You best know and if differences are still there, that's there's a very solid understanding of what each individual is willing to accept/deal with. As I moved along with my absolutely awesome wife, who still has some lines with my beliefs, we made sure to make sure we knew where that line is and what kinds of things can bring them up. Certain rough spots cleared up by introducing eachother to whatever it was that the other wasn't getting. She was not very keen at all when it came to guns. Not anti 2A, but hesitant on arms in house/on person. Spent time going over basic saftey rules, and then range time and different FA model usage. Now a much Stronger supporter of 2A, is rarely unarmed and understands how & where it could be called into use. And is now much more observant of who's around her when out & about. And she brought me more to her side when it came to family relations and when appropriate support should not be warranted. Treated her fam like my own and often would immediately jump to support for my own when she had a problem with siblings and in-laws. Throughout the whole thing, 25yrs together/15married, she's shown support when she absolutely did not have to, but sacrificed some of her own comfort shall we say, to help make something better. Even if it meant creating friction with others, be it family or close friends. There's been a few rough patches, but think all committed couples Will have them. Keeping calm and willing to say NO , but making damn sure to talk after emotions calmed down. NEVER let things continue to simmer/boil. Trying if possible to Never go to sleep mad at eachother. Make sure you know the Whole person Before any serious committment is signed. Today's scene is even more screwed up mostly because of court bias/social media/unlimited tech integration and divorce being extremely easy and with little risk. At least from the woman's side as courts today are way too overly sympathetic to females, which has destroyed many good men. Because it was easier to end than having to work on it. More couples should be made to work on it, find an understanding and compromise. Until that happens, I'd definitely be presenting a prenuptial. I thought about presenting one, but ultimately decided against it as it truly wasn't an issue even though we both had/have nice sized assets. She however just wanted some assurance and I had no problem signing hers. And after about 8yrs in she presented it to me again, said thank you, and tore it up in front of me and the one on file at whatever attorney's office. Know the man or woman before jumping in, be sure of it, and WORK on any misunderstanding. A marriage IS work, be sure you both Love that job for the other.

I’m a Devil Dog, let me tell you something. My mom was a violent woman when my dad wasn’t there. Maybe it was just me, but I didn’t know how to deal with her as a kid. She knew I respected my dad (a Vietnam Veteran) and he disciplined us. Whenever I ran away because I got attacked by her. She played the victim. This woman was also disloyal to my father and said some shit about my dad. She made a lot of excuses and she was a raging alcoholic. I never trusted a word she said, my dad of course took her side all the time. What I’m trying to say is maybe Mike went through something similar and he didn’t trust this woman anymore, but when I went through it. I just up and left. I didn’t want to deal with my ex-wife anymore. I would drink myself to sleep and sleep it off outside on the porch. I didn’t know how to deal with someone like that and I never could. Anyway, my mom would block the door so I don’t get away and my ex-wife did the same shit. It wasn’t until in threatened to call the police is when she realized I didn’t have to participate in the shit show and started to respect my decision to just walk away when it became absolute BS. My kids see what the difference is between their parents now since they’re a little older now. For the longest time I thought it was all me and I though about suicide, but coworker told me her husband was in the same boat at one time with his ex-wife. She told me “It takes two to play that game” her husband was as drunkard because of it and he cleaned up when she walked into his life. She told him the same thing and she was talking about accountability. Women don’t police each other and she told me how women are fucked up like that. I’m so glad I got that talk from someone who knows women better than me. My mom never did that shit because she’s one of them you know and you’re right. Having someone in your life is a big decision to make. I’ve been single for 5 years now, I have nothing bad to say about my recent ex, we never had a bad situation either. We just decided we didn’t want to keep going. It’s been a long hard road man, but I have the good lord with me and that’s good enough for me.

I've seen how they can turn their wrongs into a pity party and get all kinds of support and make me look like the bad guy. I drank myself thru my first marriage to not deal with a cheating wife, but I had a clear head for the 2nd wife. Some women today, not all but most have a tag on your head if you don't treat them like a queen even though they aren't deserving of that. Thank God I have 5 sisters that remind me all women aren't like my ex's. Choose wisely men. The courts are usually on their side no matter what.

I'm a retired cop/supervisor/training officer/academy instructor. When I responded to DV calls, I always told the victims (men and women). Don't ignore the first signs /flags/gut feelings you see in another person. You will never change them or be able to help them. Run like hell in the opposite direction no matter how beautiful or handsome the person is or how great they are in bed. And after you leave them, don't let them talk you into coming back. If needed, get a Restraining Order against them and follow it............. In most states, officers are required to determine who the primary aggressor is if there is a physical altercation/valid threats. The state requires a mandatory arrest by officers if a physical altercation/valid threats occur. In regards to talking to the police, it is ok if it's just a verbal dispute. No crime if it's verbal. If it is physical or he/she is claiming injury from you, get a lawyer before giving a statement. During the interaction with the police, be polite and professional with them. Acting civilly with the police goes a long way and is documented in their report. If you are arrested/charged, the courts will order a No Contact Order against you. Do not violate that order. Not under any circumstances do you violate it. Even if the victim calls you, hang up and report the violation to the police. The victim will be punished for violating it too. If you violate the order, you are basically telling the judge who signed the order to "F*** Off. I'll do whatever the hell I want !" The judge will turn around and pound you into the ground when it comes time for the trial. I don't know if this happens in other states, but here in Washington State, if you have been charged/arrested for DV, law enforcement is required to take all firearms you own and your 2nd Amendment Rights are suspended until after trial. If found guilty, your 2nd Amendment Rights are terminated. I hope everything works out for Mike.

She got home and I saw there was some dirt in the wound and she wouldn't let me clean it. Her jaw hurt and the scrape was turning red and warm to the touch. Eventually agreed for me to take her to the hospital.
The staff grilled her and asked me to leave and I was shadowed by security. They continued grilling her, almost like they were trying to convince her to go to a shelter. If she wasn't so forthright I'm sure I would have been charged and I would have had to prove I was innocent.
The system seems to be soft on criminals but also likes to make them.

Where they messed up was is when they gave the cops fake names. The police contacted me I clarified what her real name was and her friends real name. It was immediately thrown out and dismissed. Hell have no fury like a woman scorned. I personally don't see Mike doing this. But I've been wrong before

As a young dude who hasn't chosen a partner yet, this really hit me. In college I almost faced SA charges when I got involved with the wrong girl. When her boyfriend (who I didn't know about) caught her cheating, she tried to accuse me of assault to cover for herself.

One don't move a person from one room to the other against their will regardless its out the door that's kidnapping not letting someone leave is holding against will. The police is gonna always remove the man and state is gonna pick up charges regardless of what she says. The sad part is guilty or innocent being 5'11 240 lbs and a 110 girl your gonna look like the bad guy. The combination of alpha male high stress men and groupie (women) are often a receipt for Domestic violence. All communities have a way of covering and protecting their own. The police are necessary and to be honest don't really want to be bothered by stupidity. Every cop I've talked also hate going to court and testifying. But if they do question don't answer without a lawyer.

Thanks, Nate, for not jumping on top of this story and making a video as soon as the news broke, and thank you again for taking such a clearly measured, circumspect approach to this rather unfortunate situation. None of us were there, so we can't make assumptions as to what actually happened, but you are absolutely right when you said certain *huge* errors in judgment were made that may very well unnecessarily complicate Mike's defense. And one last thank you for upholding the standards of fellow Green Berets without jumping to conclusions or throwing people under the proverbial bus. Again, we don't know the particulars, but you focused on those acts that were clearly made in poor judgment and will add complications to Mike's attempts at resolving his case as painlessly as possible. To be clear, I am *not* for defending domestic violence -- I grew up in a domestic situation that was very unfortunate and sympathize with women and children and other populations vulnerable to abuse, and ultimately wish for justice to prevail, whatever that might look like, in this and all similar cases. You're clearly a smart dude and have given this much thought, and I commend you on taking the precise, careful, responsible and thoughtful approach.

Strongly believe the whole way the Courts take away the 2ND AMENDMENT CONSTITUTIONAL Right of Arms from any UNITED STATES Citizen/Person their System possibly can- being it just automatically is done for ludicrous reasons (soon a speeding ticket will qualify, NOT at all joking, the System and their free working liberals/leftists/socialists, and fake conservatives will be thrilled with such happening- all closer to pure pansy nation- intentionally done though liberals/leftists/socialists do NOT see it- for destruction of all) (while also making sure illegal aliens have their Right to Arms here- in the Systems Ruled lower Sect of North America Land & people- go figure- clear as day- the System), yes what they of the System (Members, and high up workers who hope to be a Member of the System one day)- yes what the System Members are doing has nothing to do with protecting the poor helpless- People/Citizens of the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country, being pansy talk in the first place for such- as it is totally destructive for all citizens/people (to the System it is a lower Sect of land & people, and all for the destruction of it).
Taking the 2ND AMENDMENT Right away as the System is clearly doing, is actually all about the System's intention to first destroy our great "shall NOT be infringed" 2ND AMENDMENT CONSTITUTIONAL Right to Arms, yes taking away from citizens freely as they do- is all tied to this over all destruction of CONSTITUTIONAL 2ND AMENDMENT the System is doing freely right before the entire public, citizens of the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country. Being yes the System intends to completely destroy our INTERNAL DEFENSE & PROTECTION, which is all tied in with their whole end point grand intention, being to completely destroy the entire Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country (I use the words Real, Great, True, before UNITED STATES Country, to stress the point & difference between our Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country, and the modern pushed by the System- a fake united states ruled sect by their System- who have even already infiltrated the U.S. Government, being a League/Club/System pushing evils for their imploding, internally destroying the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country. Such being clear as day proof of this push from all the communist, Nazi, fascist like, even demonic like the Members of the System, and the things, beliefs & ways they push on We the People of the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country. As if we are just a bunch of stupid, clueless, naive, citizens of the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country (shows also the evil we are dealing with). An evil who treat everything these days, as if we Citizens of the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country- are all a lame people who have a great desire to be pansies.
Yes even the System though- knows well, that for the System to completely destroy the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country, being just as the System intends to do, that the System does have to destroy the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country- doing it mostly by internally (System being an actual group of powerful & wealthy people with outside Members beyond the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country too, whether it be like CANADA, clear across oceans, or real far to the South, their League/Club/System, etc., has external connections. they all Rule behind the lines a good number of lands & people, the System does intend to destroy completely, internally the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country, as they no longer need to use this land, or We the People, being we are actually now in the way for their One World Rule, One World Order- all for the System [ may also be a very good chance- being the System does intend at some point, with things destroyed well enough internally of the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country, where then the System will also bring into the equation, and use also external connections of power, toward the destruction of all of the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country. having also I am sure even far more BIG plans, ideas, once they internally destroy things Royally here across all North America Lands & people [ Key words to all of this System's internal destruction, is to also make greatly to be all for- a pansy made, and directed nation. Truly too, being sadly a pathetic present push, for such to thrive as wuss like- i.e. not thriving- though being ]), as yes the System is obviously using many internal angles for destruction (so obviously mind blowing real, that any of us people seeing such- causes a person to be both angry, and sick to our stomach, for what is actually occurring like the broad side of a barn across what is still presently left of the Real, Great, True, UNITED STATES Country).

@@Deadlydad0331 yeah I was minding my business at work and she messages me on Facebook and was like “you have some of my clothes still” I was like “are you messaging me from MY PHoNE?!” She blocks me and a week later cops came and arrested me, I sat in jail for some months waiting on a bond hearing lol my kids stayed with my parents while she bounced from one new boyfriend to the next. I get out and it was he said she said and my public defender was trying to get me to say I did things I didn’t for a deal and if we went to trial they’ll take her side.. I told the truth and said the phone was on her lap and I saw a guy text my phone I picked it up and said“ who’s this?” She grabbed the steering wheel (I was driving) so I dropped the phone. I told this to the judge, she asked if I had a gun I said yes it was locked up in front of her in the “glove compartment” the judge explained how that was a crime. I was an EMT after I got back from Iraq, I was a medic in the army with an MP unit.
I lost all my careers and college and everything. She starts dating a guy who was abusive so the kids couldn’t visit. He eventually beat the hall out of her and she died of an overdose. My kids never really knew their mother, my daughter was 7 when she died and my son could barely talk. But they hadn’t seen her in years so the trauma is still lacking any closure. My advice to everyone is that choosing a partner is the most important choice you can make. I was a young soldier trying to save an easy troubled girl. It did not work out well. But in the end I remarried had more kids and my children LOVE their stepmomma

Great advice. I would need to see the pictures and xrays of the girl to know the truth. I wouldn't believe either one of their testimonies. I'm a trauma nurse, I can tell the difference between a broken wrist from a bike injury and a spiral injury from a twisted wrist in two seconds. If they have grip bruises too, then I am definitely calling DPD. I dont care if the patient objects. I grew up with a Vietnam vet father who was abusive and an emotionally manipulative mother. He was a high functioning drunk who owned several businesses. He had a lot of money, power, and influence. My mother was a stay at home mom who he attempted to isolate from anyone he couldn't control. She was very beautiful, flirtatious and he was jealous. Combined they were toxic. This exact Mike/Jess scenario played out repeatedly with my parents. They would fight, he would go to jail, call her, she would drop the charges, judge didnt care, she would always take him back, he would violate conditions, my grandma would call the judge, he would catch a warrant. We didn't go a month without replacing a door in that house. I could repair holes in drywall faster than most professionals by the age of 10. When I turned 11, I had enough. My sister and I shared a bed and I was tired of waking up in her piss, listening to her cry in fear, my mother screaming for her life, and him screaming commands. I attacked my father when he was asleep on the couch with a butcher knife. I did zero damage the blade was dull. He instantly disarmed me, grabbed me by the throat with a shocked look I will never forget, but let me go. I started bawling and collapsed to the floor and told him I didnt care if I died. He started crying, told me not to worry, he loved me, and left the house. I didn't see him again until I was nearly 13. He turned himself into the police for a warrant he had, he spent a year in prison and went to mandatory rehab, anger management after that. It was the best thing for our family. My mom stopped playing games. He never drank or hit her again. He was the best girl dad you could ask for. He coached me in softball, took me hunting and fishing pretty much ignoring the whole no guns condition of parole. Very different person. There is hope.

I had a crazy abusive ex when I was younger. Same situation. My first child, I had no family around I only had them two.
She tried to run me over, hit me with every household item and appliance, all of it unprovoked just pure psychosis on her part if I said no or just did something without asking
Plenty of times cops were called and she was allowed to leave… but come back in a hour when they left
Last straw… she pulled a gun on me. I knocked her out cold and have 0 regrets. I called the cops, I let them know the situation and that there was no longer a threat of a firearm. I got my ass beat tf up when I met them at the curb.
The only thing that saved me were 20 some odd prior reports against her and none with me. They would have spun the situation and I’ve have been locked up still to this day most likely.
I don’t trust the law, I don’t trust women, I don’t care what the situation is or who the person is anymore. I will not be a victim. Man woman or child I’m going to make sure I win. If I’m true to myself being a good honest person anybody else altering that situation and is an immediate threat I can’t escape from gets whatever is coming

Having made countless domestic violence arrests, our job is to investigate and get as close as possible to the truth of what happened. In most cases you will never know exactly what happened minus a video. Having said that I often didn't know if I was doing the right thing by making an arrest but by most if not all state statutes an arrest is either mandated or preferred when violence has occurred, that can include a threat that creates fear of bodily injury. IN OTHER WORDS THE COPS DON'T HAVE A CHOICE!! Speaking for myself I often didn't care if the person was convicted in court, just that I did what the law mandated, I know it sucks but that's the law. Arrests are made on probable cause, not proof beyond a reasonable doubt and domestic violence can be difficult to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. The system is designed to hopefully stop the violence and prevent someone from being seriously injured or killed.

I’ve pointed this out before on another channel, it doesn’t matter whatsoever if you have been arrested for something that never happened and you are totally innocent, if there is a TRO issued against you and you break it, then that is a stand-alone charge and a contempt of court/judge. Mike will be found guilty of the TRO based on his own recorded telephone calls. He is looking at felony time. I would not be surprised to see him get up to 5 years for the TRO violation alone. If guilty of the assault that will be another 2-5 years. He really is looking at up to 20 years if he is convicted of all charges. Just sad. Emotions can bring down the best of us.

You can say what you want about Mike and all these tactical “gurus” but these types of guys have been giving back, teaching and doing what they can to better everyone that comes across them.
I’m not saying by any means we should look past his stupid actions or if it turns out he absolutely DID hurt that woman.
But even as someone who believes crime deserves punishment, I don’t think it’s fair to look at anyone and forever stigmatize or see them as “bad” people. Definitely some that NEED to be locked up, but others were just in bad places in bad times, mentally, physically, spiritually, situationally. I’m not here to go full snowflake, but let’s use this to actually start looking out for yourself and mine.

The Honor Guard is the 3rd most rare Honor earned by soldiers. He will for sure lose the Honor Guard. That is one honor from the military that can be taken away throughout your entire life.
