We lost one yesterday. It was a late hatch and wouldn't walk. She abandoned it so we took it in and warmed it up and gave it vitamins in the water dropped to it but it just couldn't walk and ended up passing. The last one to hatch today was similar but thankfully we saved it and it's doing good now, walking eating and drinking just slowly. I'll put it back with her tomorrow when I'm more sure it's not going to get trampled by the other chicks.

dang it! just when i needed it i found that the hair dryer was broken. a storm just hit, the wind was so strong that it blew the cover i had put over the cage and all of the chicks and their mom got wet, i moved them inside and put them under a heat lamp! i'm worried some chicks may die so i'm looking up on the internet. i have only a small 100w heat lamp, dunno if it's enough. my 150w bulb blew few weeks ago. the strong wind did me dirty. i need better rainproof stuff!!!!
URGENT. My baby quail who is one day old fell in water. I think it’s been a few hours since she fell and she was drenched. I tried heating her under the hair dryer for 10 mins and is dry now but she is falling over and her beak is resting down on my hand like she sleeping. She’s breathing and is chirping sometimes but not moving her head up. What do I do!!??

1st you dry the bird get a small space heater. Blow dryer is loud and violent for such a baby.
Where are you chicken nurse? Mostly i use infra red lights- though hen is always the best with its complications at times
