    very nice but how to greater than total velocity before assumption velocity (-900 m/s) your assumption but total velocity is 1232.2 m/s?

    • @edidiongumana-cadcamcaebureau
      @edidiongumana-cadcamcaebureau  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much for the feedback. Assumed velocity is (-900 m/s) but actual velocity of the bullet is in the range (818.11 m/s and 954.46 m/s) as can be seen in the bullet colour. 1232.2 m/s is maximum velocity value in the plot not the actual velocity of the bullet.

    What is the difference between explicit dynamic module and autodyn module available in ansys workbench?
    Can I do impact analysis on composite material using explicit dynamic module which has been done in autodyn by researchers?

      @@riccardop2219 in explicit dynamic you can perform shell models only not solid
      Atlast the answer you will get is same only.
      Advantage of using shell over solid is that it will save your simulation time and cost.

    Hello. Does it make a big difference if you define the body interaction with friction? In your example may be not, but with a bigger plate which would stops the bullet?

      Hello @barbazote4728! If the target body is a multi-layered fabrics the friction effect will be noticed during bullet impact.

    how much time did it took to solve, and how many nodes and elements where there.

    • @edidiongumana-cadcamcaebureau
      @edidiongumana-cadcamcaebureau  ปีที่แล้ว

      @user-zc6eg2es9t The time taken to run ANSYS Fluent calculation depend on factors such as Mesh Optimization. However, ANSYS calculation should be done on a different (faster) hard drive.
      It is possible to find the actual time taken for the simulation and also the average time taken per iteration.
      Just type "parallel>timer>usage" in the console. You will get what you need. It works only on parallel processing.
      Also, if it is a transient calculation, you can see the flow time in the Console.
