I saw this on Andre Floods channel and was blown away! Such a great sound, I gotta get one of these bad boys.
I definitely hope you're able to find a manufacturing partner! I'd love to incorporate this trem on my own builds.
Everything Rick Toone makes is satisfying in terms of artistry and practicality
Can’t wait for this to be available
The tremolo is available now on RICK TOONE '67 guitars. Please visit: www.ricktoone67.com
@@RickToone yes, when are the bridges available separately?
@@RickToone@andrefludd Where can I learn more about this trem? Still have many questions like
1. can you downtune and change tunings without the hassle of Floyd or 2 point trems? I have my Floyd blocked to dive only because I like to downtune without having to spend time making back and forth spring adjustments. Curious if it's the same process with this?
2. Since the bar doesn't move the strings, safe to assume that you can't break the strings if you pull up too much?
3. Do double stop bends throw one note out of tune just like in a normal 2 point trem or Floyd?
Thanks
@@RickToone Could you link the page for tremolo only order please ?
These 3 questions are excellent and I would like to know the answers, too!
That tremolo is so precise that sounds like a whammy pedal.
By far the best design I have ever seen! I can’t wait to have a Stratocaster with this tremolo. Amazing! Way to go Rick! Brilliant!
I just saw Andre Fludd’s demo video and did a little more searching to find you… And subscribe. This trem bridge is amazing. I don’t see it for sale as a separate purchase but I’ll be looking for it. So glad I just discovered you!
This tremolo is amazing! I upgraded my strat bridge to a floyd just last year but I hope this product has come out much sooner. This design is genius! Kudos to Rick Toone!
I would buy this in a heartbeat.
Oh damn, there goes my money...
Congrats, Rick! That's beyond awesome!!!
Coolest thing ever, the new transtrem!
Ned Steinberger's TransTrem is an incredible work of engineering. I have tremendous appreciation for what he has contributed to the guitar and bass design lexicon. My design uses entirely different principles, but the ability to pitch shift chords is a similar outcome and musically excellent. It is also really nice to use off-the-shelf guitar strings purchased in your local music store.
I was about to say the same thing, but you beat me to it....
I wonder if you can change the pitch and lock it in the new pitch like a Trans Trem?
Wow, that looks (and sounds) absolutely amazing.
Something like a newsletter or so to get updates on the availability for the tremolo only would be very nice!
Found you from Andre.
Would love to put this trem on a super strat build.
I love Floyd roses but they have downs sides, this looks awesome!
Companies out there (not Gibson or Fender): This is brilliant idea. Collaborate with Rick and get this to your guitar models. These will be definitely sold.
this looks awesome, i know its probably pretty far off but i would absolutely love to see a 7 string version of this bridge
got here from Andre's vid! The trem is amazing !!
Really fun for me!
I hope HIPSHOT will run it,
it must require extremely high precision.
Agree. Would love Hipshot to handle them and make them in the states. Gotoh and ABM or Schaller would be great too but as a tech/builder in Oregon and Hipshot dealer... 🤞
The design is such a nice marriage of form and function. Some trad minded players will balk at the modern look but that will be them missing the boat. Bet it feels great to palm mute. So smooth it might catch some Bigsby fans as well.
@@flamulatedjust as a place to comfortably lay your palm. I want it
Yay, Rick! Awesome video.
Keep innovating, man! This looks fantastic!
Been scouring the net researching tremolos, finally popped on a VegaTrem Saturday, then see this Wednesday, the day after I get my VT1🤷♂️ Guess I’ll build another partscaster so I can compare 🤦♂️
That's awesome and ingenious. It looks good, too. I'm extremely impressed.
Very nice Rick!
Thank you!
I want one of these, Rick! Ready to buy now. ;-)
I been dreaming of tremolo variation creations for many moons to combine a locking system but with retro intonation features but man I think you've cracked the Da Vinci code Rick well done ✅🥇🏆
This right here, I'm ordering 2 so far when they complete and hit market. I'm slapping one in a Lone Star from 96' (the real deal) amd one in a 2009 MIA Standard.
I really appreciate your support and encouragement.
@@RickToone I can appreciate solving one of my biggest peeves about one of my favorite guitars, that pesky trem system that I still choose due to it being familiar and knowing enough to make them fairly stable, but totally stable is completely my ask for decades of any maker of a bridge, and shy of Evrtune systems that require mods, nothing approaches it but your design to my ear.
Sometimes your aesthetics aren’t quite my thing but I always look forward to see what you’re doing next. I definitely get ideas.
The world needs this - sign me up!
Love it. Need it.
damn, never thought i'd be hyped for a patent
This is sensational- lending my voice to the chorus of guitarists clamoring for distribution for retrofits!!!
Looks kinda cool!🎉
Im straight tempted to drop one in mine when these are available. I'd be sad to lose my Jake blade but this has sooo much control
I would love to have this bridge put in my strat! Hope it won’t cost too much when it comes available.
I need this urgently OMG
I got excited for a minute until I realized these aren’t available yet 😢 This looks like a game changer. I’ve got a custom Suhr classic that’s begging for this bridge.
Rick, Please make a seven string version! I would buy 3 immediately lol
I'm honestly waiting that this term will be commercially available to buy it
Hi from Germany.
We want this!!
So sorta like a 'bender' on all six? Man, that's pretty wild. Would one of these with a tiltback headstock, straight pull tuner alignment, and locking tuners be comparable to a Floyd-style setup in tuning stability? If so, it could be AMAZING for a lot of players who hate all that complexity but want to really use their tremolo. Strange to hear the pitches move in tune on a chord, pleasant but just weird since others don't really do that. What a cool device! I hope they become popular/widespread (hey, PRS and Music Man: look at this thing!).
Very cool unit. I wanted to get a Vega Trem for my Strat, but I might wanna get this instead.
Don't forget the left handers mate . I would love one on my strat .
Such a simple mechanism internally, but a very presice mechanism indeed.
I see no simple way to do it internally. It seems either extremely complex or not compatible with different tunings.
Rick - congratulations. Functionality and beauty are often opposing forces in many design pursuits. You always do what’s required to make them harmonious. Q: can you describe the mechanism on your new trem for setting trem arm position stiffness? AKA - a set screw and Allen key on many modern trems.
Would love to get one! Can I buy just the tremolo, to install on my Strat?
Congratulations, Rick ! Seems to be a new trend. How can we upgrade our strats, without buying a new guitar?
So cool.
I’d be curious to know how the other strings behave if you bend one of them. Or what happens when you break a string. Finally tuning the guitar with fresh new strings, that annoying tuning up and down ballet, is it still there? If it does perform differently in those scenarios, perhaps a video demonstrating those scenarios would be really nice.
Fantastic invention, congratulations! I'll definitely buy many. Function & aesthetics combined, excellent. I guess some parts slide in the body plane (I may be completely wrong), so isn't there some lubrication needed?
now i want one ....
looks amazing, and sounds amazing, wondering how does it feel on bends etc - does it make a strat feel more like a tele? part of why I love strat's is that slinky feel would hate to lose that - i dont even use the trem in my strat that much (although with this I think i would alot more!)
hopefully there’s a version made that fits into floyd rose style cavities. i have a cool late 80’s soviet polish guitar with a floyd rose style bridge that is absolutely nasty to use
Sounds like a fascinating guitar.
Are there any plans for a 7 string version? I'd order one in a heartbeat when available.
Also, our of curiosity, is there potential to incorporate 😊piezos like the graphtech ghost saddles?
Looking forward to when you release this! Was wondering if you would have options to have a shorter trem block so it can fit thinner Strat Bodies like Squiers? Thanks.
Fender should put this on all their strat ultras
Let us know when they go into manufacture. I want one!
I know it's early, but I really hope to see a 7-string version of this same design.
I need this in my Strat, STAT
I’d love to get the trem separately and put it into my own strat
Would be interested in purchasing if you can put these onto the open market. Being able to pull a chord and keep it mostly in tune would be really nice on some guitars. Andre Fludd has a really nice demonstration on his channel.
this has got to come out for public use... : )
The tech is brilliant. The billion dollar question is can it be manufactured at a viable price point?
This looks amazing. I've a few questions though. Are you still able to do unison bends though, if all the strings bend when one does?
Will it fit MIJ and MIM strats?
Definitely gonna consider putting one of these into my strat should they become available as an aftermarket mod
I'll buy a trem once available as aftermarket part...
Is it possible to set it to work on some strings, while others remain fixed? If so, pedal steel type bends would be possible. Or maybe a quick way to go to an altered tuning, by moving the trem arm and locking it in position.
Very intriguing. I have a couple of questions: 1) Can the feel of the arm be adjusted by the tension or number of springs attached to the claw, or some other adjustment mechanism on the bridge itself? Or is there only one inherent feel of the arm (i.e., soft, as stated in the video)? 2) Can it function like a traditional trem that is decked such that a string bend will not cause the other strings to go flat during the bend?
can you do bends on it without detuning the strings not being bent, or does it behave like a normal floating trem in that regard?
Question: what happens if you were to on the spot drop your low E to D?
would the rest of the strings stay perfectly in tune just as would be expected on a fixed bridge like a Les Paul?
or would they go out of tune like a traditional floating strat trem?
if the lower string tension of the E would have no bearing on the rest of the strings this could also be one more game changer for players who use D-Tuna and wished that it would also function on floating trems (it of course doesn't)
How is the stability of other strings when you bend one string? How is the tuning stability if pick really heavy or do slap-pop technique? I am a solid bridge user that wants to do now Jeff Beck style stuff (+ pedal steel stuff). I have not been not pleased with current popular tremolos.
I need this in my life! Seriously, how do I get one of these bridges?
How about heavy bending ? When I play a 1,5 bend on my guitars with tremolo (Ibanez), I have to bend it very far because of the move of the tremolo. On my hardtails, no tremolo moves and heavy bending don’t need so much movement. How does this work with your tremolo? Sorry for my bad English
What about the BIG problem of a trem system, that when your fingers bend a string up a whole tone, the other 5 strings go slightly flateven though you do t touch the trem arm?
Does it fix that problem?
Will this trem become available as a standalone unit that can be purchased to retro fit existing guitars?
If it's a drop-in, does that imply that it will someday be available for sale for use as a bridge replacement?
This looks amazing, can you drop tune (Drop D for example) with it?
Yes, you can drop-tune to D on the fly and it remains in tune.
@@RickToone can you perhaps do a video explaining how it works? It seems like an engineering marvel.
I hope there's a business case for mass manufacturing - I'm sure many guitar builders would be happy to include the trem as a new and exciting feature.
Shut up and take my money!! I'd buy this if it was available.
So it seems there is a different lever arm length for every string, are those adjustable for compatibility with different tunings and strings, or it is good enough for most tunings (short of like all fifths)?
Either way, holy shit is it a marvel of engineering.
Have you already been contacted by like Ibanez or someone? Hope you will soon. Maybe some of their endorsers could get more of a push.
Do you have the capacity or plans to produce and sell these things en masse youself, or just hoping for licensing deal with like schaller or hipshot?
I know you are already an extremely accomplished guitar designer and engineer but damn these things need to become as standart of a practice as a floyd, for the betterment of guitar.
It has to be adjustable. there's simply no way around it. If it wasn't, it would only work for a specific string set, with a specific scale length and headstock design, with no way to compensate for manufacturing tolerances of the strings. I don't know what kind of mechanism he is using to achieve that though.
Fender should license this immediately and fit them on every guitar they sell. The old "six screw, vintage" tremolo is so out of date now!
Are these going to make it onto retail guitars someday?
How fast does this go out of tune after whammy-ing away? Also, does it have the same challenges in tuning as a full floating Floyd rose?
Is the tremolo unit available separately?
BASS version coming soon???
Any way to have this for a multiscale 7 strings?
Any timeframe on when these will be commercially available?
The tremolo is available now on RICK TOONE '67 guitars. Please visit: www.ricktoone67.com
@@RickToone Ah, ok - the way the video was presented, I thought you were going to be selling the tremolo's as a replacement for the typical Strat trems.

@@RickTooneI want to buy this item!
@@RickToone I'll be looking forward to that - I can't afford a '67 right now, but that tremolo looks amazing.

Where can i buy this trem?
will it work on Prs custom 24?
no float… What is this sorcery?!
Do you ship to Malaysia sir?
When can i get one!!!?
I could really use this in my fake pedal steel guitar licks.
I play out live,so please get this product out for purchase please!

Is it available to order now?
Can’t wait! This is the coolest thing I have seen in a very long time!
