The background music when you were hitting the vixa was hilarious. Every step you take, every move you make, I'll be interrupting your TH-cam watching with commercials.
I have a Vixa and I actually really like it. I wouldn't call it a driver replacement for me, but I like it as a fairway wood. I'm pretty consistent with it. I think they just want to market to the "driver replacement" to get more sales, but if you think of it as a 3 wood, you'd probably have a better take on it.
Al you should do a OUTER BOUNDS course episode with a full bag of clubs that claim to shave strokes ... stand up putter , square strike wedge, etc... see what you shoot!!
Thank you Alex for the video. Funny as usual. I guess I am the target market for such clubs ( old-ish with 93 mph swing speed with Driver, learning how to play golf, need as much help as I can get). I was struggling with my Driver launching high enough ( F9 10.5 head loft up 1.5 ) and is desperation thought why don't I try a mini- driver ( more loft /shorter shaft = more fairways right?) so after pricing the TM product I bought the GX-7. It did what it promised to do , but in reality its only advantage over my Cobra F9 3-4 wood ( set at 16) was confidence of the bigger head for tee shots. With centred strikes with GX-7 I could get 200 m , but off centre 180- 190 m. Eventually I bought a Cleveland HB Launcher Turbo 12 degree head and I am in a happy spot now. Another advantage of the mini- drivers is that they fit better sideways in small cars! I still struggle to hit 14.5 lofted clubs off the deck. Most guys in my swing speed bracket would be better off with a 5 wood lofted club. I have to admit that I also weakened and bought a C3i 65 sure glide soled sand wedge. I take it with me when I go to the River Murray courses with huge bunkers. Alex have you seen the Milford Golf SL-7 single length irons made in Melbourne.? I have a set now with graphite shafts and I am impressed how well they work, equally as good as my Cobra F9 SL irons and at half the price. They don't advertise at all though!
I have the Vixa V12 in my bag as a 3 wood. It didn't replace my driver but did end up replacing my F7 3 wood. Hater's gonna hate. But performance always wins.
I wasn't playing during the stalking rounds of the Vixa advert campaign, so I can't say that I ever heard of this club before I purchased one from a used sporting goods store. I was looking for a 3 wood or used newish technology name brand driver, but then I ran into this little hotrod red something club. It was tagged by the store as a 3 wood, but it had the white dot with 18.5 and I thought it looked more like a 5 wood than a 3. It was brand new, felt really nice, and at a $89 price tag with a $130 I was sold. It really is nicely built, and it just feels really good in the hand, and looks inspiring behind the ball. I'm not a long hitter, so I imagine others would get much more out of this club, but right out of the gate I was hitting solid straight 200 yards. Normally, I only hit about 180 with my 5 wood (the closest club I have to this vixa) and with this vixa I was hitting a relaxed swing with great control. I then did my best long hitter impression and it absolutely rockets down the range (230 ish), although a little slicey. I then tried a fade and it was incredibly responsive with a tight right to left flight. It really is inspiring, and I think that's mostly because it feels shorter and relatively heavier at the head than a driver. Truthfully, the driver throws me off because they feel so light, but this club's low profile, and lower center of mass seems like I'm holding a framing hammer vs a golf club. I love that feel. The head cover is the worst part about it, but luckily the cover has nothing to do with swinging the club. As for the target market? That's me without every hearing any of the marketing wankateering. I hit my driver about the same as my 3 wood, my driver dispersion has more range than windshield wipers, and I'm intimidated by the big stick so I use woods to drive. I'm not ashamed either. I love golf, and this club makes playing the game more enjoyable. I highly recommend this club for similar minded players who don't need the big name clubs in their bags. Anyway, great old review, and I'm glad you didn't say it was rubbish, because it's a worth club for sure... Lighting McQueen stripes and all.
Fast becoming my favorite You tube channel. If you ever give up golf, you could host a talk show. Always look forward to your uploads. And haven't been let down yet.
I have noticed that a lot of these “best ever” clubs aren’t really that bad. If they would drop the crap and just advertise/sell them for what they are, they might be surprised.
If I were younger, I might consider it. For nearly 20 years I carried a 13° Yonex Super ADX 3 wood that I could hit 265 yards almost every time I used it off the tee or in the fairway. Off the tee, I could step on it a bit and get closer to 300 yards out of it. At 62 years old, I don't worry about 300 yard drives anymore. I tee off with my King Cobta 5 wood, which I can hit right at 200 yards...which makes me very happy. My short game and putting help me keep my scores from getting too high, and my last handicap rating was a 15. It's not the 4 handicap I carried for many years...but...my left knee and lower back tell me constantly not to try to hit the ball as hard as I did in my 20's!
Al!! Absolutly hilarious brother! Loved the video. Keep them coming! We need funny, hilarious, down to earth videos from you right now through all this nonsense. Love ya brother. Hope your staying safe!!
These commercials are brutal. One day I'd love to show up to the course with the stand up putter just to see how many people will never talk to me again.
Love it, would love to see you do some on course testing with these mega game infoprovement clubs. Can picture you draining 30ft puts and chipping in with the Square Strike and hitting the pin out of the bunker with the Auto Glide wedge 🤣
Really enjoying the channel! Your club reviews are hilarious! Thanks for swinging things I've never even heard of, I get tired of watching reviews of clubs I'm already certain will perform well. Am I worried Titleist, Cally, TM, Ping, Cobra will produce a crappy club? Nope. I sure like seeing what other folks are doing to try to compete with them though!
Alex the grill is to allow cold air intake into the hidden twin turbos, the secret is to pause at the top (Hideki Matsuyama) which will allow time for the turbos to spool up, boost comes on and 400 yards yes pleeease. I may have confused this with a car video I just watched. Isolation does strange things to an individuals head I guess. In all seriousness, I have a mate that owns a Vixa and he loves it. I personally think it's just a 3 wood.
Glad to have youtube premium and miss the ads, also can't find it for sale in the UK. Looks perfect as a 3 wood replacement for the better/faster swingspeed player?
The other advert that I can't shake is for the c3i Wedge. It's the one where Chip Beck (I think) is peddling this uber wedge. No club is going to make up for bad form. Nice to see that the viva not fall apart under Alex's assault.
Starting to really wonder if it’s what I need. I’m a slicer and struggle to hit up on the ball. I have 110 club head speed and feel like I hit my 3 Wood better than my driver. I’m going to continue to work on the driver, but this could come in handy until I straighten it out.
Also, would love to see a round with just gimmicky clubs in bag and see if you could break par. Love the videos and thanks for not talking 90% of the video.
Great video as always. I saw this club as much as you have and yeah red is not the color I want to see when I hit a golf ball. I play with a mini 13 degree 44 inch extra stiff shaft 3 wood that is a hybrid driver head. 230cc head I crush on the tee and the deck. the club is a thomas golf 230cc mini hybrid driver. I would like if you can review and compare both golf clubs.
Fantastic Al. So many pants-wetting moments LOL. What I particularly enjoyed this time was the absolute disappointment that "this thing isn't bad really" 🤣
"Free George Foreman grill on the back"......HILARIOUS!! All of these golf infomercials are cringe worthy, but you at least found a way to make this product review fun. Nice job Alex!!
Seems ok at what it does/ what it's supposed to be (long 3 wood). Wonder how it would compare to some of the "big 3 woods" out now like that Cobra big tour or whatever it was
To be fair is does look like a great anti slice bat, a few of your last few shots with it looked like they were heading way right then turned back but not like a natural draw! So thumbs up to it for that. Definitely worth £89.99 in three monthly payments... its red with go faster strips on it whats not to like..👀
Seen the ads for this club before, to me there are other 3w out that could out perform this club, which is what that loft is. Good review though, and price compared, it's an ok deal.
Hey i have a question alex or anybody in youtube comments have you ever heard of or used Taylormade r540 XD irons and does anybody know what year they are from? bought them as they were cheap and perform pretty well but my bag was stole recently and bought another set but still why are they so cheap but perform so well.
Love the infomercial. The funniest part for me was the massive fairway they were hitting into. The saddest was a forget tour player banging on about it
Aaaaahhhhhhh, just figured out what the vents on the bottom are for. The Vixa sounds like crap at impact, so maybe the vents are there to expel flatulence when striking the ball.
Those ads are perfectly summed up. How about the C3i wedge next? That ad bugs the nuts off me 😂 along with the silly woman saying how good Amazon is AARRRRRGGGGG
Before I watch this video, I am going to predict Al hits it 300.. I have tried this club, and while it is NOT a driver replacement, it is pretty good as a 3 wood and dead easy to hit off the ground. It is better than the GX-7 which is in a similar class. The GX7 is not easy from the turf as it's crown height is too high.. The Vixa is low profile. *FYI, I did buy this, and sent it back for a refund. I didn't hate it, just didn't get any different performance than my Cobra F8 3 Wood.
The background music when you were hitting the vixa was hilarious. Every step you take, every move you make, I'll be interrupting your TH-cam watching with commercials.
Great spot!!! 😂😂

ptlellis, I second this!
@ptellis great idea! I 3rd this one. Al, Nike!
YES!!!! CALL IT THE OB BAG OF GUG

Never seen the ad before. But now that I have watched your video, I will probably see them everywhere.
I just fell into the ad trap myself, ordered Lazrus wedges. I guess we'll see how they do

3:48 "No please don't go in the hole... not this club."

Finally. Someone with great creditability reviews the v12. Thanks for the review. Been waiting for it 👍
These commercials are brutal. One day I'd love to show up to the course with the stand up putter just to see how many people will never talk to me again.
funny thing is it works, although it can't read the green!
All of them is the answer 🤣
Good honest review, as always very enjoyable to watch.🏌️♂️
The ad at the end of this was a surfing info-mercial . Once lockdown over I expect to see you show how that works too now
Watching this video on TH-cam and having golf channel play the ad on tv you were spot on with that old man drive
Love it, would love to see you do some on course testing with these mega game infoprovement clubs. Can picture you draining 30ft puts and chipping in with the Square Strike and hitting the pin out of the bunker with the Auto Glide wedge 🤣
Great video Al can u suggest a good website to purchase a long distance driver
I constantly get S7K putter...maybe you should try that.
“Free George Foreman Grill”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀💀

😂😂 brilliant. Wish I’d have known this before
Glad to have youtube premium and miss the ads, also can't find it for sale in the UK. Looks perfect as a 3 wood replacement for the better/faster swingspeed player?
That looks so cool!

So it's more of a 2 wood or strongish 3 wood
Vixa V12 + C3i wedge + Square Strike wedge + S7K putter = ultimate power
Amazing finger work there brah! Didnt even see that 14.5 degree thing till you literally put your "finger" on it!
I have been slightly stalked by the ad. I was hoping someone would do a review. I like the alignment stripe.
Starting to really wonder if it’s what I need. I’m a slicer and struggle to hit up on the ball. I have 110 club head speed and feel like I hit my 3 Wood better than my driver. I’m going to continue to work on the driver, but this could come in handy until I straighten it out.
I'd love to see someone vlog a round playing with only infomercial clubs
You should show us the wall whenever you refer to it! Great video as always!
Also, would love to see a round with just gimmicky clubs in bag and see if you could break par. Love the videos and thanks for not talking 90% of the video.
I was once told to not play the warrior driver on par 4s because it was to long. I don't think anything will beat that quote.
I have a taylormade aeroburner mini driver that I really enjoy. On tight courses I can keep it in play and only lose about 20 yards off the tee
Hadn’t laughed all day with the scary news of the world, then I watched this and had a good laugh. Thanks for your videos!
Makes me very happy to read this! Thanks mate. Stay safe 🙏

Hi Al, great content as ever.
Do you ever think you'd ve able to review any Ben Hogan equipment?
Big wave from the sunny Isle of Wight - England
I work at a golf course an have ask several people how they like v12 most said they like it I guy is in his 70s an hits it like a boss
Seems ok at what it does/ what it's supposed to be (long 3 wood). Wonder how it would compare to some of the "big 3 woods" out now like that Cobra big tour or whatever it was
Can you test the bombtech line of clubs from the U.S please
The George Foreman grill thing was hilarious
These videos are so funny to watch 😂
Amazed you didn't compare it to the car from Starskey and Hutch with that paint job.
Love the stalker song in the background when you compare the M5!!!
Never seen it. Is it a Vauxhall Viva? If you don't want it send it over and I'll put it up against my new ST200 3 wood.
This and the square strike
Same company. LOL
OH and you must include the Pyramid putter, there is a trick here, right???
well done Alex another great video and again very informative. I wish PING did this colour 😁
What about the good old c3i wedge? Aka shitty wedge with 50 degrees of bounce and 72 degrees of loft.
”-If I only had a wig.” 🤣
What about the square striker? Stacked Golf loves them and would love to see a full review.
Wedge and the 9.8 & 7 irons for on-course testing?
Great video Alex, can you get your hands on an old lynx boom boom driver and see how it stacks up today 👍
To be fair is does look like a great anti slice bat, a few of your last few shots with it looked like they were heading way right then turned back but not like a natural draw! As a 3 Wood it’s hitting pretty good numbers for you Al. Put it in the bag! 😜
Great video. Before you send it back, would you please test it against a similar 3 wood that you might have in your arsenal?
Your dispersion in this vlog is great. You didn't destroy any picnics or windows today
Great video, hate infomercials. Great testing of a product.
Hey i have a question alex or anybody in youtube comments have you ever heard of or used Taylormade r540 XD irons and does anybody know what year they are from? bought them as they were cheap and perform pretty well but my bag was stole recently and bought another set but still why are they so cheap but perform so well.

Sounds great tbh
Tommy Armour A1. Crap or not?
Well done Al!
🐊🏌️♂️⛳🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Aaaaahhhhhhh, just figured out what the vents on the bottom are for. The Vixa sounds like crap at impact, so maybe the vents are there to expel flatulence when striking the ball.
Is that the actual club Tiger used or are you saying he used a M5?
It’s his spare from the 2019 Masters - True story!
The Foreman grill is to help the maintenance crew on the course Al 😂 Btw, you and the TXG boys need to do an out of bounds comp.
Videos are quality always make me laugh 👍👍👍
I'm afraid he didn't do it any injustice. Doesn't mean I'll buy one, but he hit it well for a 14.5 degree club.
Those ads are perfectly summed up. How about the C3i wedge next? That ad bugs the nuts off me 😂 along with the silly woman saying how good Amazon is AARRRRRGGGGG
"Head cover is rancid" made me truly laugh out loud!
Sounded like a commercial for Viagra when you first started reading the paperwork. 😂
Every single time I start typing golf.. vixa shows up. They must have a decent marketing budget.
Great Video again, I;m a 6 handicap and tried a mate's V12 ( yes the idiot bought one) It was crap , felt like a piece of 2x4 timber planed closed.
It’s looks alright, i would give it a go but the the feel has to be there. I also like my pings
Nice vid!
Bless you, Alex - I definitely am getting one of these - if it will give me the numbers you got!!!!!!!
You need to do the GX7 fairway metal. All day everyday on the golf channel
:it ain't no stickah" LMFAO
Hey Al. Can you check in that grate for me. I think I dropped my keys down there.
This was bloody hilarious
Very funny review.!!!
I thought it was an Aldila NV shaft at first
This and the GX-7!!
Driver 750cc....what is that...
Boss, The price is difference
MOON WOOD 8!
MOON WOOD 8!!
Before I watch this video, I am going to predict Al hits it 300.. I have tried this club, and while it is NOT a driver replacement, it is pretty good as a 3 wood and dead easy to hit off the ground. The Vixa is low profile. *FYI, I did buy this, and sent it back for a refund. I didn't hate it, just didn't get any different performance than my Cobra F8 3 Wood.
5:28 reduce friction? Hahahaha
"Oh please don't go in the hole...not this club" hahahahahahahahajahahahahahajajajajajajajajahahahaha
Amazing lol
Cool 3 wood
moon wood next!
Never heard of it till I clicked on your video 😂 maybe not promoted in USA
Made any cheese on toast with that grater?
Can I have two burgers with the lot, George 🍔🍔🍔
Alex..... Are you OK hun?
i like my 3wood and 5wood
