That looks more fresh than me when the time I pinched my dentist’s booty. I saw him at Costco non relating to dentistry, thought he would think it was funny. He did, and we high five’d afterwards.
I never rinse pasta when making it normally because I want to keep all of those starches intact so the sauce will cling better.. HOWEVER.. I was always taught that rinsing it for pasta salad was important to (a) stop the cooking process so it doesnt get mushy (b) cool it down quickly and (c) take away some of the starches so the final product does not stick together!
