I'm not entirely sure if it's true, but I've heard when snails go "droopy-eyed" when they eat something, it means they really like it. My pet milk snail always did that while eating carrots.
I didn't think snails even CAN look excited, but holy hell, this guy is practically jumping up and down for joy. I mean, in snaily kind of way, but just look at how those eyestalks are waving.
I love this video. The snail's diet consisted almost entirely of leaves up to this point, but all of a sudden everything changed when it found a mysterious droplet that snails weren't even meant to taste in the first place! The snail went wild because of ingesting a substance that it previously didn't even know. It was something entirely new for the snail. An experience beyond its snail senses. However, milk is rich in calcium. Even though snails are not mammals, they might actually benefit from drinking small quantities of milk in such a way that the calcium hardens their shell. So the snail improved its stability by trying something new! Moral of the story: Don't be afraid of trying new things in your life.
Unless it's a farm snail from a snail community that lives in the grass where cows graze and it was yelling: "hey everybody, do NOT drink this pesticide, antibiotic, and hormone ridden liquid...it is not the same!"
