So, I am Russian and when I see tenderness among men for each other, I immediately suspect them of homosexuality and become homophobic. This is not something terrible in my country, it is about the same useful feeling as fear, which does not allow you to joyfully approach alone in the evening to a crowd of drunk and aggressive teenagers unknown to you. We are all not free from our, in this case, Russian culture, even those who "suffer" from homosexuality, and therefore we are not free from the roles imposed on us by our culture. I know, from my family history, that if my grandfather wasn't homophobic, I wouldn't have been born.

It is wonderful how a man can physically please another man by making him feel relaxed, soothes, muscles softened, etc. Most men would state they would prefer a woman for this 'therapy'. Many of these men and others would prefer males for masseurs than women. Perhaps, we don’t a lot yet know exactly how asmr works on the brain, but people who are sensitive to these sights and sounds credit asmr videos with helping them fall asleep, reducing their anxiety, and even chronic pain symptoms.
