Lol. There aren't many of us. When I graduated Bob's course in 2017 I was the only lefty in a class of 21!

@@artpartyunlimited thanks, I’ll be watching. 6th painting under my belt so far and it has been challenging mirroring what I’ve been watching… not anymore 😀

Can you recommend where we could find a practice board like that?

Sure can! Right on my website at www artpartyunlimited.com. you can search for "board" and get many results. We have several sizes to choose from.
Don't forget to get some discounted paints while you are there.
Thanks so much for asking. Happy Painting!

Can’t see it on there. Is there a specific product name?

Here is a direct link to an 8 x 10 version of the board. If you see anything that says gessoed hardboard then you are on the right type of products.

an 8 x 10 usually suits most people. I was using a 12 x 24 in the video just because I had one lying around that I have used a long time to demonstrate techniques in my in-person classes. Unless you really want to spend some cash on the one I was using, I'd recommend starting with the 8 x 10 to see if you like the feel and performance before you go larger. I'd hate for you to get something you don't like. Just wipe off the board when you are done with paper towels or a lint free cloth. For stubborn paints I'll often use linseed oil to loosen up the paints. I rarely have to resort to paint thinner. A stain of color will be left behind, but that is great for toning the canvas for your next painting session.

Actually not. We will be making more videos soon. We recently moved across country and are still unpacking, but stay tuned! We should have more videos coming as the weather warms and we can shoot outside.
