    Hardwood flooring is not recommended for wet n humid Indian climate since the moisture makes the wood warp or form molds which will destroy the wood in a short time. Wooden flooring is perfect for cold, dry climates. Ceramic and vitrified tiles do well in Indian homes.

    Good information people should know that after purchasing marble Other expenses also up to ₹50-₹70/- sqft.. Sometimes People attract due to low rates marble material but actual they don’t know hows the quality of material! Granite is best to use Pre-Polish Just Ready to Use...

    70+5+30+20+15= 140per Sq ft… (marble+transport+labour+ material+ polish)This way I have wasted one lac rupees just for the sake of marble….

    So I got my home constructed in 2013, putting all my heart and efforts in the process, went to RK marbles kishangarh and purchased 5000 sqft @ avg of 120
    Per square. Ft spent another 80 for logistics, filling ,polish and installation. At over 200 pr sqft .End result a flooring that doesn't look worth trash!!
    So be well informed even when you have the budget

    Very informative video, have just done marble flooring for my new home but there are lot of cracks and cuttings to the sides, after grinding the marble came out very small. Wish i have watched this video earlier but nevertheless marble is really luxury symbol but only if executed in a proper way with good selected quality marble and professional workers for installation.

      If you go for marble size by size cut pieces there will be no fault.
      But at the other hand if ypu go for tiles they have less thickness therefore less durable.

    Hatts off for all your videos sir.Not a single repeatation of sentences.I came across ur videos yesterday and seen almost all ur videos.I hv marble flooring in my flat.There is no sunlight to my flat as it's surrounded by multi stories.The problem comes in winters when it becomes excessively cold .Bare feet feels like walking on ice slab.pls suggest any solution to this.

    marble flooring necessary at some heavy applications like stairs, counters, and for interior flooring still marble best at some places. tiles can break easily and not everlasting.

      Marble needs more maintenance. You have to be careful with dropping any thing on it especially liquid like lemon juice , harsh chemicals or harpic etc

    I bought vitrified tiles from Johnson company many tiles were bent. Please don't buy jounson

      Very true. Johnson tiles are bad. I bought 1m×1m imported floor tiles and very expensive, they got stains and changed color.
      Worse, although there was guarantee against manufacturing defects, they never paid a single rupee in compensation.
      Lots of tiles had to be discarded because they were bent.
      It was a total waste of money for me. Johnson is bad.

    Marble is natural compare to tile
    1.marble can be polished , tile cannot
    2.marble wont damage, tile damage
    3.marble gives shine with natural beuty, tile lost his attraction after some years bcz of artificial
    4.who says marble has high price, tile is hving huge price compare to marble

    Tandur with gray or green color is one of the most commonly used stones. It is a marble look-alike stone slab, hence the nickname Bethamcherla Marble. The material comes mainly in gold color. Tandur stone features stone suitable for builders.

    I want to understand , what will be the largest tile size of Italian marble that can be laid using Adhesive on the floor, & can we remove existing Fiber glass layer and hand lay thicker fiberglass layer to increase strength for larger tiles and also provide some insulating properties on the floor.

    Sir i have noticed many points which you have explained this very informative i have question, in Bangalore for morble installing and polishing people Demand Rs.140 to 150 for sqft ..is this ok or its too much pls let me know

      If u have purchased Indian marble it would cost u around 50, if it's Italian or imported marble it would cost around 110-125 with polish

      Marble is a great floor, dont misunderstand. Kota stone if not selected may not look good, otherwise it is a wonderful stone.
