Wow! I'm impressed by the level of care and professionalism at this hospital. The cost of care you received could cost you between 9k - 15k dollars in the U.S.
True. I was billed $117, 000 for a 10-day stay for kidney and liver infection. Luckily I had student insurance from the univ of Chicago which owned the hospital. So I didn't have any deductible or co-pay.

They're building big one like this in two regions Eastern n Western
yeah sure but the monetary cost alone is a nightmare for majority of Ghanaians because of Ghana Cedis or the USA.
In fact I hate hospitals because they are places that are nightmarish especially the Casualty wards where accident Victims are attented to with broken bones and spines especially since the year 2020.
Blood Sputim and other fluids are what one sees in the hospital you know,😊

I am glad you are feeling better. UGMC is the largest and the only quaternary hospital (above a teaching hospital) in W Africa. Admission is only based on referral.

Why so many questions why they kept you long and you can monitor your self at home ? This is just crazy questions. Even here in the west they keep you to make sure you are ok before releasing you, but I guess this is our African mentality. Instead of being happy for them to keep you to make sure you well, you will prefer to go home and party. Glad you are ok anyway.
