maybe the feel is different when you’re actually holding them but those jelly soaps honestly seemed to have a similar consistency to the ones I’ve tried from Lush
"I'm still watching TH-camrs back from 2015..." This made me laugh because this is why I still come to TH-cam as well, to watch you! I've been watching you since 2015, maybe even earlier than that, and you are the sole reason why I come to TH-cam lol. I've watched you grow up, get married, have children, and all of the other ups and downs that come with life. We are roughly the same age, so we have kind of grown up into adults together. I love these kinds of videos where the parasocial relationship is fed like this, where the viewer feels like they're hanging out with their favorite TH-camr. I just absolutely love the intro. It gives such you energy. You're such a fun, energetic character even when you're tired and distressed.... But honestly, the jelly soaps didn't look that bad, and I would love to see a video over jelly soaps. I am obsessed with them too. trust me
what you explained early on is exactly why i miss jenna marbles. she made quality content where you got to know her and connected with what she was doing. i love this video and i absolutely sympathize with manic hyperfixating. im doing it right now! this video is helping me unwind from the other crap i have to do today. thank you for showing us the process.
This is probably a great kit for someone with a short attention span. Pour some fruit loops, jump on trampoline, pour some fruit loops, eat lunch, pour some fruit loops, carve a pumpkin. If you had dye left over from another kit, you could make other colors of fruit loops and really fill the bowl with them. And of course, you can always pour out the melted wax, so the candle won't put itself out.
When Katie was talking about how she has passion for projects and they consume her thoughts and she has to get them done before her creative energy runs out, my husband looked over at me and was just like "you". I've never felt so understood by another creator!! I relate to you more and more with every video! I love the chattiness and chaos of these creative videos

Thank you! It's so refreshing to see a TH-camr reviewing a cheap product with realistic expectations. It really does annoy me more than it should when people are all "This product is garbage" because they're comparing a product less than $20 to one that costs $80+. Most of the time (with a few exceptions) something that's intended for novelty, beginner-friendly, and affordable enjoyment is not going to be near as good as super-expensive, professional-grade, versions. It's like when art YTers compare washable, $0.50 art supplies like Crayola paint & markers to professional-grade $80+ and then hate on the kid's supplies like, "Haha cheap is bad, look at these fancy supplies I can afford!" but what they always leave out is the clean up. You spend MAYBE 5 minutes wiping off the washable version, but scrubbing the other stuff for hours & still having a permanent stain. Your kid gets a little washable paint on the table, nothing a little water and perhaps a tiny bit of soap can't fix, but you get a speck of some of the super pigmented, professional oil/acrylic paints on that same table & it's forever stained.
I have this mold and by far the easiest way to punch the centers out of the middle is to take the end of a thin craft paint brush and just punch it through the hole. It's no time and you can get them all done within a minute this way
Oh my goodness! So I am sitting here watching this video on my TV, my phone is sitting next to me. When Katie said “hey Siri, set a timer for 1 hour”, MY phone heard her and Siri set a timer on mine too lol.

From cozy socks, home decor, car accessories, greeting cards, holiday decorations, silicone ice molds, toys, electronics, to makeup, nail polish, and hair stuff. It's not always the best quality, but if you're on a tight budget, kids don't care and neither does your secret Santa receiver!
I watch your videos to sleep your videos are so calming and light hearted and it’s a great tone to end the night on when you live in a not so calm and happy household

Seems really good value for the experience and the mold. You could use it to do cereal bits for inside of clear soaps or resin craft, after you've made the cool candle. Could you also maybe do a layer or clear with cereal bits at the bottom and then the top could be a solid colour with scent and then you could burn the candle for longer with the bits in? If that made sense. In a tall clear candle container?
soy wax blends typically do want a longer cure time for embeds! for some of my larger embeds, i let them sit for 24hr, especially if they're fragranced

My first reaction was like 'I love that, put that on a T shirt' but then I just froze and was like 'OH MY GOD AM I MANIC'
I started watching you to learn how to make soap. But I know how to do that now, but I have gotten to know you and still like to see your videos and find out how you and your family are doing.
It's always a good assumption that new containers (or anything) has residue from production on it. Or just dust from storage. Metal, plastics, glass. For food things the easiest way to get rid of it just to put it in the dishwasher if it's safe. Just washing it with dish soap is fine as well. For crafting I think isopropyl alcohol is a really good idea! Since you can just give your container a quick wipe down.
