This is one of the most beautiful versions of this wonderful song. And the members of the group Still, Nash, Crosby & Young, partipam with a visible emotion of this immortal song. Beautiful!
Those iconic 4 notes are music and emotion in perfect harmony and the song completes the magic .... The right notes in the right place and your life is changed forever
Omg this is just perfect David and the rest of pink Floyd honoring their founder and leader Syd ... with this masterpiece of brilliance...Syd lived quite awhile after this and they gave him every penny of his royalties...they were good guys ...out of respect to his sister and family they stayed away as he would usually have a tough time after visits ... nothing but love ...I believe he lasted till 2006 ... Shortly before we lost Richard ...sad what the LSD did but it was the sixties and seventies and Syd was the man who garnered attention to this amazing band who I believe are easily equals to Led Zeppelin different but just as good ... I was lucky enough to see both of them in their prime ..1977 ...best summer ever in my life I'd die to go back and see it all again ...god bless and thanks for the great memories !!!
Fabuleux tout simplement..... Je ne peux que vous dire respect à vous Mister Gilmour et musiciens et chanteurs. Tout cela donne un vrai bijou. Merci merci💕💕💕💕🎸
Because Gilmour, and also Wright, were technical perfectionists AND highly inspired creative artists. That is a very rare combination in my opinion, not unheard of, but definitely rare. Dick Parry, their long-time saxophone player, is also incredibly talented. I know his style is more avant garde, but it's absolutely brilliant. Look around at the natural world, it too, is technically correct and incredibly beautiful.
Pink Floyd has been the best of all times .if you buy any cd you love every single song on it not just one or 2 but the whole cd. Love love love pink Floyd.
David Gilmour...it gets no better!!!! I passed out so many times in my car listening to- The Dark Side of the Moon ! and as a bonus..David Crosby...how cool is that!!
Gilmour is a master of the bend and vibrato, so clean with great tonality. He doesn't dazzle with speed but he gets so much sound and feeling out of each note. Graham Nash and David Crosby singing harmony are a nice treat in this version.
Im 23 from Buckeye Arizona and this song relates to most of my happenings. i wish these types of bands like led zep david gilmore, from 67 to 79 were my age right now, during this year. even though the magic that happened in the past can never be excuse , migh not be brought to light again... what an experience to have been in those days when they actually used instruments and played from the heart. i have a 7 month year old son and he will be listening to everything my father and what i discovered. i love life, music, and life,. put away your negativity even though you will and might go through a very hard time. take a look at all the healing music has to offer. especially , music like this. sucks you have to watch a movie to hear the real good song from way back... but i love you all and keep on keeping on.
Kyle, My adored, loved, admired, sorely missed son...losing you took the roar out of my lion heart and the sun out of my sky...the 20 years, I was blessed with you, will be the best 20 years of my life, life without you is brutal...everyday is cruel...until I see you again, I’ll navigate through this life blindly as my eyes only look for you...Shine on you crazy diamond 💎 Lifetimes of Love, Mom💔 •Kyle David Strickland• 06/17/97~01/21/18
Je suis complètement dingue de ce David Gilmour....... Quel génie, aucun mot pour décrire toutes les émotions qui m'envahissent en l'écoutant. Et ça depuis 40 ans !!!!!!😱😱😱
What a day ... Lonely here in Hamburg, family back home in Greece, missing them a lot, I started "healing" a huge headache with Sting, then Stevie Wonder, then Stevie and Sting, then some Tool, now this one... This song makes me feel old and back counting the seconds, minutes and hours that I have spent for stupid reasons, like fighting with my family, friends and myself. Live and love your life people...
I absolutely love listening to Mr. Gilmour!! I would give just about anything to be able to play only half as good as he does. Thank you for so many years of awesome music, a memory in every song. I'm 57 yrs old & grew up on PF 💯💯❤️
Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun. Shine on you crazy diamond. Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky. Shine on you crazy diamond. You were caught in the crossfire of childhood and stardom, blown on the steel breeze. Come on you target for faraway laughter, come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine! You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon. Shine on you crazy diamond. Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light. Shine on you crazy diamond. Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, rode on the steel breeze. Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine (with David Crosby and Graham Nash)
David Gilmour your iconic playing will last through eternity.I was about 15 years old when your Darkside of the Moon album came out and I have been one of your greatest fans since then love you forever.
This piece of music totally changed how I play guitar. Learning how David has 101 different ways of bending a note, each beautiful in its own way, was a real eye-opener for me. Love this.
Once in a while, for whatever reason, from where ever, a guy will come along; a guy who is a bit better, than the very best. David Gilmour, it is truly a pleasure to listen to you.
legends on stage... awesome sound... genius songwriting... im in love with that smooth guitar sound... this is what we have to send into space for the next mission, which will leave the heliospehere... universe filled with such sounds... we will get an answer...
Impossible to be indifferent to Pink Floyd. It seems a "force of nature". I'm speechless... Fabulous band. The guitarrist is also wonderful ...Virtuose in maximum degree. My respects of Brazil.
Pink Floyd’s music is in a class of its own - I often play “Comfortably Numb” from The Wall as it was my late husband’s favourite ❤️🎭❤️🎸🎼🎸🥁🎼❤️👵🎭 He had Parkinson’s disease and lost a lot of feeling in his body ❤️
This song never fails to bring a tear to my eye .…..David Gilmour unquestionably one of the masters of bending the strings and vibrato playing just a pity Steven stills wasn't there to complete one of the greatest three part harmonies ever to perform
WE look back and remember the times of our youth and the music we listen to .We were blessed with the right time of growing up and so in these crazy times we reach back for a moment and reflect of the GOOD TIMES . I still have my 600 hundred ALBUMS and so i reach back and put a ALBUM on AND relax and reflect while the crazy world goes by .And youtube lets everybody remember the better times.
But what of Rodger Waters??? Let us not forget our drummers, the desert jam in late 70's, sorry I forget the historical site like the Roman coliseum show at Pompeii! Amazing I would like to of seen the Dead in prime jam together if could make all sounds come together, no doubt a classic one of the best and thanks for sharing.
My God, this song is the epitome of hauntingly beautiful. The music and lyrics are so brilliant that you forget for a minute that its actually written about a dear friend that lost his mind. Pink Floyd was truly on another level.
From my favorite Pink Floyd album and I saw PF do this entire album live back in the late 70’s. Then there was an intermission and the second part of the concert was the entire Animals album. I was in tenth heaven. My only question is: Why does David Gilmour always leave out the last, but best part, of this guitar solo every time he does this song. He did it when he did the Wish You Were Here/Animals tours and ever since. However, Pink Floyd is my favorite rock band. 🌘
I heard so many versions of this PF classic, but this may be the best I've heard. Gilmour's touch and feel and tone are so signature and stand out in a world of me too guitar players. Oh, and that sax...
You listen to the Music, it's like a movie . . . you can feel the memories floating away . . . My heart hurt, my head is spinning, I am lost in time just listening to this magical music that never stops making me explode with emotions... Love.

As a loving brother of one with schizophrenia I've never heard a better clinical observation than "a look in your eye like black holes in the sky". Love the stripped down chorus on this version.

pink Floyd shows are not concerts, but a whole musical experience, glad I grew up with their music.
Those iconic 4 notes are music and emotion in perfect harmony and the song completes the magic .... The right notes in the right place and your life is changed forever

Every time I watch this I get chills up and down my spine. David is a true master of the guitar and many other things as well. Simply brilliant.
This was my daughter's tribute to her grandma when she passed away..Couldn't have been more beautiful
3 old men doing an absolutely wonderful performance. Love it!!! Doesn't get any better than this.
Fabuleux tout simplement..... Je ne peux que vous dire respect à vous Mister Gilmour et musiciens et chanteurs. Tout cela donne un vrai bijou. Merci merci💕💕💕💕🎸
Dick Perry on the saxophones is a real badass! The way he switches is Flawless an amazing
How could possibly some9ne dislike this with normal eyes and ears!?!?! Spectacular!
I was raised on pink floyd. My dad saw them live twice. I know almost every song word for word. This song gives my chills everytime.
I must be about the same age as your dad. I saw them twice as well. :)
Life and time have stripped away the outward signs of his youth, but what is left is the brilliance of a genius
How can art that is so beautiful be so damn technically correct? Another dimension of beauty I suppose. I can't get enough of it.
A great song with additional great back up vocal artist David Crosby and Graham Nash Excellent talents.
Pink Floyd has been the best of all times .if you buy any cd you love every single song on it not just one or 2 but the whole cd. Love love love pink Floyd.

Still gives me goosebumps & brings a tear to my eye after all of these years!
Love Nash's attitude, he seems so happy and peaceful and loves what he does. This concert is the bomb.

I'm 55. Time warp to my coming of age years destroying my big brother's LPs. So thankful for these great artists.
If I could actually choose, it would be a combination of David Gilmour and Robin Trower.

What a nice surprise for me, when Crosby and Nash popped up! Thanks for the uploading.
Amazing solo, it makes you feel your are in another galaxy...
Adriel Kirch for real!!!
I totally agree..It touch my heart and soul!!
The saxaphone is by far the most distintive part of the Pink Floyd sound. And this song is one of its best examples. Blow, baby! Blow!
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine
(with David Crosby and Graham Nash)
HDPinkFloyd why you share a lot of Gilmour videos... not of Waters
Roger is good in his own right but he's no Gilmour!!! Peace ✌
Ziyad, what a stupid question, yes Waters is great but his band is not so good
Cause Gilmour is the best
PinkFloyd TheBest what a stupid answer. ...
Love this.
Definitely. He can make just a few notes sound amazing because he plays with feeling. DG is definitely one if the best and criminally underrated.
he often bends two strings at a time and of course uses the whammy bar extensively.
Brian McGee ... learn how to play like this guy
me too
THAT was simply breathtaking. Majestic.
Музыка без возраста! Никогда не устареет!!!
Once in a while, for whatever reason, from where ever, a guy will come along; a guy who is a bit better, than the very best. David Gilmour, it is truly a pleasure to listen to you.
Wow, David was in a bluesy guitar feel in that intro... a new feel to the song in general, amazing.......
Che Dio vi benedica per la felicità che avete dato alle mie orecchie e al mondo....Sono 46 anni che vi ascolto e non mi stancherò mai di farlo!
Only takes a note or two, and we know what is to come! 2 beautiful for words.
Mitico : I suoi ritmi e poi quella delicata dolcezza del tocco delle corde con quelle note che ti accarezzano il cuore.
The BEST Band that Ever Was~ Where is the LOVE button on here~
This is a sublime performance using sound on sound with the solo guitar 🖒
legends on stage... awesome sound... genius songwriting... im in love with that smooth guitar sound... this is what we have to send into space for the next mission, which will leave the heliospehere... universe filled with such sounds... we will get an answer...
