Tanner, I bought a 2003 "Terminator" Mustang Cobra new, 2 decades ago. Found the same friendships with other owners that you mention. Some of the friendships have lasted for 20 years. Enjoy your car!

    Great video. I have a 89 Porsche 944 S2. It was my first car bought when I was 23. I don't regret it ;)

mir gehts wie dir. Bin vom 964 zum 718 GTS 4.0. Nun suche ich den Weg zurück zum 964, nur der ist das Maß der Dinge ❤

Congratulations on a fantastic car. A Beautifully analogue experience built on a modern and easily upgradable platform. I’d never sell mine

Well if you can manage to get one, they daily well and behave better on oil leaks when driven more often.

    Nice car Frederic, congrats.
For me the front of the 964 is just to bulky. Perfect harmony and 911-design overall has undoubtedly the „G Body“.

Beautiful video. I have an Amazon green 964 C2 coupe completely stock. A little rust along the windshield’s lower corner. Better to keep the original windshield with a little rust or have it fixed and put in a new windshield?

I mean realistically yes, the entry price is just so high nowadays
Unless you bought 30 years ago when they were cheap
They're usually a second/weekend car so you obviously need to be wealthy to spend $70k + for a toy

    • @TannerSeymour

I think these make for amazing daily drivers tbh. But yes the prices have gone up considerably. I’d say it’s still not out of reach though for a decent running aircooled 911. You also have the option of early 996’s going in the mid 20’s and 944 or 914’s trading in the 10’s or below.
There’s a porsche for every budget and with how simple these cars are you can do a ton of maintenance yourself.
Mine isn’t the best example but in the past month I put over 3000 miles on it. It’s starting to be come a very reliable daily and weekend car.

      $70k lol
Try double that for the most basic 964
Keep in mind also these older Porsche appreciate over time if it’s a weekend only car.

@@er98ah G models and F models trade for under $60k pretty regularly. 964 are becoming more of a collectors piece since they are seen as the pinnacle 911 aicooled design. But having spent time in every generation of 911 I’d have to say there’s very few things you’d miss out on by getting a gmodel vs 964.

@@TannerSeymour - somehow agree - only with a 914 you are wrong - you are not going to find a (really) decent one in the 10´s. 944 (or even 924) - yes! But not a 914. I am owning a 996 C2/ manual/ rebuild/ mint condition. mid 20s seems to be slightly to low for it. But all in all: Yes - you are right :)

Way way way overpriced for what you get. They are very simple cars. I bought a 964 turbo in 2004 for 29000 dollars. Still my favorite car of all time!! Sold it like an idiot for 39 grand 5 years later. Now they’re like $200 plus. Gave up on Porsche and changed brands because I got sick of looking at beat up ragged out 911s with less than 250 horsepower that people wanted stupid money for. For the current cost of 1 964 turbo I have a v12 Ferrari and 2 v8 Ferraris and I’m not going back.

You sold it to someone for 39k who may now own a car worth 200k - and he is the idiot?

I would say you should buy a ten year old Porsche in your lifetime and retire with it after 30 or 40 years. I bought a 964 targa in 2000 after stocks had crashed and I am driving it today. I would get a 997 targa for everyday use today.
