I totally agree with you. Richardson is a 100m runner, BUT most runners want to have more than one event just as Jackson was a 400m specialists, she also ran 100 and 200, then when she mastered the 200m she pretty much dropped the 400. Richardson was good in both, but she favored the 100. I believe she's working on the 200 to have a chance at least a metal at the Olympics. I'm pretty sure she has the 100 down but the whole world of 100 runners are coming after her.

I get what you’re saying but Abby is coming back from injury so fast times aren’t expected from her yet. So her ending the race healthy was good enough. And she not only ended it healthy but she ended it with a win.
Shacarri is the reigning bronze medalist despite the 200m not being her primary event. So because of her performance last year many expected a better time.
However, their concerns are misplaced, for now, because she is rated by what she does in the 100 not the 200. Her 200m basically just goes along for the ride.

not true bro, Sha'carri has always been a double 100m 200m threat since HS NCAA and now the Pros, Abby is mostly a great indoor sprinter 200m and relays for outdoors

I kinda disagree with you a little bit “Everything Track” and friends. ShaCarri Richardson is one of the best 200 meter sprinters in the world. ShaCarri was second runner up in the 2019 College National Championships. Which means she was the second fastest runner in the 200 meters that year. She got a Silver medal. Last year, ShaCarri got a bronze medal in the 200 meters World Championships. Which means ShaCarri was 3rd in the world at that distance. So, yes, ShaCarri Richardson is not performing at a world class 200 meters right now. ShaCarri has sad this year, her focus is to be great at two events now. Which includes the 200 meters. I think ShaCarri Richardson (when at her best) can win a silver medal in the 200 meters at the Olympics this year. And she can win a Gold medal in the 100 meters this year.
Everything Track, I’m a huge ShaCarri Richardson fan just like you. How can you forget ShaCarri won a bronze in last years 200 meters world championships. According to that bronze last year, ShaCarri is 3rd best in the world. So yes, ShaCarri is underperforming right now with the two losses. And you can’t forget ShaCarri place second in the college 200 meters championships. So she’s been running 200 meters all her life. But yes, she’s more famous for the 100 meters. But according to the world championships last year. ShaCarri is the 3rd fastest runner in the world when she’s 100 % next to 2nd Gabby Thomas and 1st Shericka Jackson in the 200 meters.
