I’m sharing my opinions as someone who lives near Milan: 1) Gruppomillepiani is very cheap, but at least they make MRLs 2) Maspero only cares about scenic lifts but forgets about their quality. I got stuck many times in the Porta Nuova Garibaldi circular lift… I have lots of videos where you could see how bad is that lift. Buggy in general and those doors get stuck very often. People always say: “Oh what a good lift, it’s circular” BUT IT IS NOT GOOD 3) M3 metro station lifts are OTIS ‘80 Roped Hydraulic in almost every station, TOO SLOW 4) M4 lifts are all KONE Monospace, older lifts are slower, newer lifts are better but some of them are already Out Of Service… 5) M5 lifts are Schindler 5400, probably one of the best type of lifts for metro stations because they’re fast and they have full-intelligent levelling 6) Don’t check Milan’s Passante lifts: crap and cheap hydraulics.
@3:45 I remember riding a lift like that in Milan close to Piazza del Duomo, maybe 2003, it looked like a glass cylinder with steel frames. Looked like something from a Roald Dahl novel.

15:13 Beno i can 10000% guarantee you that sadly that is indeed done by Kone. Since the last years Kone has given the chance to several italian generic lift companies to use their KCE logic and use their brand name, I'm not sure if the logic itself still gets programmed by actual kone technicians/engineers or not, but the company name you read on those life can be the one whomdid the mod under kone license, the company that maintain the lifts or even BOTH. Even locally where I live i saw those mod and they're horrible, recently at a hospital near me where i went they conpletely replaced a epic sabiem lifts with rare doors with exactly the same components and now the lift is a lot slower, the new doors don't even close properly, it's inefficient and unreliable, it's permanently ruined and destroyed.
