My bad, I forgot to show the price. $500 for PS5 and $35 for the controller (plus tax). Definitely high for a PS5 console only, but it was the cheapest when I bought it 🤷♂️
@@dericjames2018 yeah I’ve seen them in stock online in pretty much every store for an extended period of time. Second hand ps5 prices should start coming down soon
I'm willing to bet that was a demo model for a retailer who sold the console without the cables or controller to an employee who then sold the console to you at a small discount. A lot of times, those display consoles sit in a plastic display case and hardly ever get turned on, which would explain how clean it is and why it doesn't have a controller or the cables. Just a guess tho.
Possibly an Amazon warehouse buy, the seller may have gotten in on one of the $360-$400 consoles, these may at times be missing accessories, usually a return where someone didn’t send everything back in.
Going off how scratched up the ports are doesn't tell you how used it is because all those connections are either never used or the cable is plugged in once and never touched again. Idk about you but typically once I hook up a console it stays in one spot. LAN parties aren't exactly a common thing anymore so it's not like everyone brings their consoles to random get togethers
I disagree that using a free USPS bubble mailer in a standard bubble mailer is "dirty." USPS is a major company that isn't losing anything by doing this, and it lets the average person pack items more securely for cheap
Nice unboxing video and good job too! I also personally like to try to keep all of my console boxes as well since I just really like them and all and also in case if I ever need to pack my systems back up if I ever need to move or anything since I would still have the original boxes that my video game systems came in that way.
I keep them. I got GameCube, Xbox one, PS4 limited edition, original Xbox for ones I own that got the original box from day one. Tho I own plenty more systems hope to find a box one day.
Been keeping all my boxes since the 360, which also happens to be when i started buying my own consoles. As for the console and no controller. My guess is they sold them separately so they could jack the price on both and make a bigger profit.
when a console has been put in a very stable position, there will be no scratches to talk about. unless the wires are being pulled out and put back in all the time.
I keep the boxes to all the things I buy. If I’m going to sell it in the future, it will come with box. I take really good care of my stuff and people love it if you just happen to have the original box things come in.
I have my PlayStation 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 … and the box for each console I have there all in perfect condition I keep in like a collection it looks good I’m gaming set up
Having scratch or not doesn’t mean the PS has been used heavily or not. I use mine 14 hrs/day for about 18 months now and you can’t find a single scratch on it. Basically PEOPLE are the one ruining them now using them
I had an experiment for you to try: run a VHS through an xbox one. if you av cord it to an HDMI adapter then run it through the HDMI input on the back it may just work. Also kiss pinball on PS1 is a fun one to show off as you can remove the game and insert a CD and play music over top of the game even though it's no longer in the system. Would be cool to maybe experiment with.
i keep my console box so i can repack them and sell them when i upgrade. if i plan on keeping the console i may dispose of the box later on down the road
I realize this video is all about buying used accessories but for $20 more you could have gotten a brand-new controller (color of your choice) during the holiday season. Personally, I'd never buy a used controller for my PS5, especially knowing that their lifespan could be a very short one.
the cardboard they use for the ps5 stuff is so easy to rip i kept my ps5 console box and and god of war controller box was very carefull when opening them and still ripped them both
I keep all of my packages. I've sold all my old systems with their original box. I was given more money from buyers because it came with the original box.
I don’t like asking for things when I do I feel bad I’m putting someone else through trouble I only ask for things in a million years, I have to learn that it’s ok
Because of chipsets problems, ps5 will not be available on walk-in. And the price increase these holidays. I felt sad for those people who can’t get it.
I bought a ps5 with disc option as well god of war bundle from Walmart I work there and worked during thanksgiving night which gives me 15%off plus my Walmart discount card 10% equals 25%off paid 457$
I usually keep my boxes but i had to free up space and sadly my PS5 box took the most so off it went to the bin. Dont regret it as they just collect dust most of the time.
My bad, I forgot to show the price. $500 for PS5 and $35 for the controller (plus tax). Definitely high for a PS5 console only, but it was the cheapest when I bought it 🤷♂️
Not bad but PS5s are getting easier to buy now Gamestop and Target have been lot's of stock lately and retail.
@Mr.Sitallewal GAMING PS5 not cheap, but cheapest on eBay
@@dericjames2018 yeah I’ve seen them in stock online in pretty much every store for an extended period of time. Second hand ps5 prices should start coming down soon
You could have gotten a new one for 500 dollars and a remote. The ps5 digital with game and remote 449.00
hi jacob
I keep my console boxes they're just too cool
I kept my xbox one s, nintendo switch box until my dad dumped them accidentally but i can keep my ps5 box
Not to mention can help the resale by 80bucks
Me too!
Same
@BoredAndExtremelyDangerous until you're scouring eBay looking for a box that matches your console model number and matching sealed instruction manual
I'm with you on that one Jacob I keep all my console boxes. And I've never regretted keeping a box.... I have regretted getting rid of a box tho.

Keeping the boxes, makes it fun to re-open them, and keeping memories alive again. Lol
Possibly an Amazon warehouse buy, the seller may have gotten in on one of the $360-$400 consoles, these may at times be missing accessories, usually a return where someone didn’t send everything back in.
Ah yeah good idea
Exactly what I was thinking as well
I bought a PS5 for £500 from ebay, and it came with wires and 2 controllers and it has worked perfect ever since I bought it in September 2021
You should do the controller demo to test controllers, it shows you in real time which buttons are being pressed and has an adaptive trigger part.
I like to keep boxes. Makes it super easy to store them when they’re not in use.
I disagree that using a free USPS bubble mailer in a standard bubble mailer is "dirty." USPS is a major company that isn't losing anything by doing this, and it lets the average person pack items more securely for cheap
They're a major company operated by the federal government, so we're all kind of paying for it.
I still have my original ps4 box from launch. I figured once its time to sell, the next person will appreciate being able to unbox it like I did
W mans
My dad threw away my ps4 box 8 years ago, still miss it to this day…

I wanted to keep my box and I went on a trip with my friends and when I came back my little sister destroyed the box. I was sooooo mad.
As a kid, I threw away all boxes. But as a adult. I keep em all..figures..lol
I keep my boxes so whenever i sell or give away one of my console, i put back in the back so the next person can enjoy the experience as much as i did

I wouldn’t buy a used one from eBay bc I’m so afraid of having marked stolen
You’ll be fine
I always keep the box. Higher resale value when it's time to upgrade to next gen.
Been keeping all my boxes since the 360, which also happens to be when i started buying my own consoles.

People who don’t keep their boxes cannot be trusted
Nah bro my asian mom just throws em away
You probably got a stolen PS5 and the owner didn't know their serial number to report it
I keep all my boxes that cost me over 150.
Same
I can tell a stolen consul when I see it most likely that’s how we got it. I’m just bought a box off the Internet.
Someone stealing enstead of working and it got returned is what I'm guessing
I kept my box but that Decorative sleeve around the main box is pretty fragile and snug. So I'm not surprised to see that ripped

Yes I keep my boxes, but I would have to make an exception with that one.

Bro you're very genuine love your videos
Actually a month ago i got a ps5 for 350 dollars at a pawn shop it works very good no problems
It had a controller
Boxes are great to keep when you have the room to store. I tossed all mines out since I have no warranty being gifted console.
Yeah storing them can be annoying, especially for huge boxes like the ps5
@@jrob0021i shove all mine under the bed😂

You'll find alot of hardly used ps5 consoles as alot of people bought it in 2020 and lost their jobs 2 weeks later
Yup and they will sell it piece by piece

At this point, DKOldies gracefully trumped eBay scammers LOL

New consolei n Chicago is $550 w/tax.
That PS5 was stolen!
Why you don't try Sheen
You gotta keep the box ,it's a must
A lot of sellers sell consoles alone and sell controllers separate to make more money overall.
i keep my console box so i can repack them and sell them when i upgrade. if i plan on keeping the console i may dispose of the box later on down the road

I keep the box to my wife’s confusion lol

It was funny 10 years ago now it’s so played out
Bro have yal never bought a stolen console 😂
I keep all boxes to any big purchases I make, you never know when you might need them.
My parents threw my Switch's box away, but me personally, I wouldn't.
I kept my PS4 box for a few years but had to throw it away to save space.
the cardboard they use for the ps5 stuff is so easy to rip i kept my ps5 console box and and god of war controller box was very carefull when opening them and still ripped them both

I just bought a brand new ps5 with a disk drive for $250. Had a buddy get it through his work but just wanted cash so worked out
So you just check the usb and c port if it got used much…..
I kept them but had to throw them away as I didn't have enough room for it.
