I... can't seem to get this to work... wish I knew why : / It won't let me interact with the curve lines at all. Is there a key you're pressing to interact with them on the keyboard by chance? I drew with the curve tool... and the first keyframe worked great, but once I set it, I couldn't edit it anymore : / Never mind. I'm dumb lol. You just need to be using one of the tools like rotate or whatever to interact with them, I thought it was a click and drag type of thing. : x Thanks for the vid. : )
One possible workaround would be to try using ctrl-h on the curve points to hook them to a new object, then animating the hooks in object mode. Haven't tested the idea though. Still getting up off the floor from seeing that you can extrude curves XD
It seems that the hook modifier is not controlled yet. It is improving rapidly, so if we wait a little longer, there will be good news. Thank you for the comment :)
@@BlenderClass Hi... It turns out that my previously set user prefs were preventing it from showing up. I reported this as a bug because new interface features shouldn't be nullified by pre-made user prefs, they should be additive imo. I had to resort to preparing user prefs 4 times over due to this fact since 2.8 was first released. Hope they can look into it.
Oh my God, this is amazing. I'm sure a lot of people have been waiting for this for ages.
Yes, look forward to more in the future :)
Me
haven't seen this curve editing thing yet. very useful.
Thank you for the comment :)
Thanks for the Video!

I'm learning MOHO now, you can animate points there. So it's possible in blender too?
Hi. When I wanted to edit curves I actually used the sculpt mode. Works really fine too. But this one is greattt.
THank you
Yes. The sculpt mode provides flexible editing. The edit curve feature is highly expected to support the rigging feature.
Great feature. We have been waiting for it.
And nice sketch. It was supposed to be a boa constrictor digesting an elephant?
Yes, that picture of the little prince suddenly came to mind :)

Hi. I'm on 2.93.5 and this feature doesn't seem to be there. Was it omitted after 2.92?
I haven't checked it, but it doesn't seem to be a missing feature. Did you check it in edit mode?

In 1:31, how did you get bezier toolsto appear on lines? I was in edit mode, imitating what you did in video, but I can't find bezier tools.
The curve editing function of Grease Pencil is a new feature added in blender 2.92.0 alpha version.
@@BlenderClass Thank you very much. Sorry for my lateness to reply.
@@ritageraghty3261 Thank you :)

@@BlenderClass 2.90.1 is fine
Hey, if the control points could be accessed by python, then it is possible to do some animation using scripting. Btw, thanks for the video.
Thank you for the comment :)
you should use sculpt mode for editing curves. Wow I can't believe that this is a feature now. They are really closing the gap on illustrator
