Bloody nice one for letting the buzzard go. 🤟this is the hunting I want to see, not cowards walking around with guns, anyone can pull a trigger, I’ve done it and was pretty good at it. These hawks are brilliant.
Cowards?? Horses for courses. Some like birds or prey. Some like dogs and some shooting. Birds of prey hunting is boring for me but i like to see vids on them. I prefer lurcher work. Doesn't me ppl cowards for having different interests !!
Before the trend of imported exotic species such as Harris hawks, I've heard that in Europe the common buzzard was a thing in falconry. A more beautiful bird than harris hawk anyway. Not easier to train or as agresive as the new world cousin though
Hi Can you tell what is the best age to get in a female Harris hawk as I want to use her for hunting. And do you know where I can get a bull X lower machine from.
Adult male buzzard, the terminal band on its tail and the black band on the wings indicate adult individuals. Amazing catch though for lola. Thankfully neither got hurt from eachothers talons.
@@MyYorkshirehawks do your harris hawks often encounter buzzards or was this just a rare incident since a falconry centre whrre i did work experience, their ferruginous hawk got badly cut by by buzzards after approaching their nest area
@@conorsirishnature998 That's the only encounter we've had but I've seen others take a pop at them. Think Lola had a go because it was on the ground 🤔. Certain female Harris's can be quite aggressive.
Usually it's by word of mouth and by asking around, sometimes we're cheeky and go straight to the land owners. If you can ever do someone a favour or help with a job that goes a long way. If you don't ask you don't get! People with horses are most receptive due to rabbit trouble. ATB.
Wow , i very rarely see raptor on raptor ...i much doubt a harris hawk would go for a fully grown Buzzard too much trouble for one thing and injury trying wouldn't be worth it
It's not typical but not unheard of. Female Harris's are comparable in size to male Buzzards but have higher prey drive, Common Buzzards being more of a scavenger. This young Buzzard never knew what happened. But it survived 👌
Lola is ruthless 😉 I'm on my way with my female harris hawk now took her ferreting a few times and give her some easy flights after netting and releasing in a different spot👌🏽 feel free to watch my videos. xena the female harris hawk

We were happy it flew off, glad the shock didn't get it. 👌

@@rogerparker9228 It's my opinion mate, i don't give a shit what you think. Cowards.
Wow, no stopping these Hawks!
That's the thing, once they are up it's down to them. Guess it's the same as putting ferrets in the ground?

That's a great bird you have there, nature is amazing
It certainly is friend. All the best 👍

Great bird pal
Wow watch a catch
But even better to see the aftercare 😉
Yes mate we don't want to see our birds catch off species. Great outcome.

Brilliant vids lads 👍
A few years back my female Harris took a Tawny out sleeping in a tree, there was no saving it unfortunately.
Afraid it happens, can't blame the hawk.
cracking video. how do you guys get permission, im struggle for permission with my hawk and don't know how to approach land owners

Good stoop in from Lola then mate.
Aye, she knocked the stuffing out of the poor buzzard. Half an hour in a travel box helped it to square up!

Respect boys 👍
Nuts mate. We're glad it came out well. 🤪
respect , for what?
For making sure the buzzard was ok & was let go.......why else??
Awesome
Lola is in the top 2% mate. Pure killer. Thankfully we were on top of it!
I love Hawks and it’s great to see you with ur birds . Keep up the good work . Try and tell Lola to leave the buzzards alone lol

He said click the key once then do it again haha struggling away sticking the key in and out hahaha
I struggle with simple instructions
Good video though mate!
@@joehembrough7655 Won't be long before we're back out 👍
Keen bird that is pal
Lola has that killer instinct mate, she tackled a fox in a previous video. Crazy girl!
Glad the Buzzard was released (well done) after all it IS a wildlife crime to kill or harm a bird of prey it’s a protected species… just a thought.
Jon. We were over joyed to see it fly away. Hawks don't work like that.
