This would have been better with a bit more commentary. Eg. "This road is a 40mph limit..you can tell this because of x y z....". "There is an oncoming car so I'm moving over to the left and then when I move back out I do a shoulder check...." etc etc. Got my mod 2 coming up so I'm just looking at this stuff. I know what you mean, but I think these are more just for giving a feel of what it's going to be like on test day doing these routes rather than teaching you what would be covered in lessons. How did you get on with your Mod 2? I've got mine on Friday. I've been riding bikes for 20+ years lol. Legally might I add.
from 26:28 the driver is driving on the right lane and the left lane is Bus Lane with a solid single line in between the 2 lanes. Are we allowed to cross the solid line and back to the left lane (the bus lane on this case)? I am quoting this from Highway Code: "Rule 141 Bus lanes. These are shown by road markings and signs that indicate which (if any) other vehicles are permitted to use the bus lane. Unless otherwise indicated, you should not drive in a bus lane during its period of operation. You may enter a bus lane to stop, to load or unload where this is not prohibited." It tells us we shouldn't drive in a bus lane during its period of operation. How do we know if it in operation?
Have a look at the blue sign on the far left of the screen at 26:31. You can just make out the times of operation on this bus lane is 7am-7pm. Thanks for the good question. Ashley
