Its not cavitation that happens under normal use. This case the feeder was not letting any water in so the system water slowly evaporated. And yes that feeder should be replaced. Not saying it wont last a while longer but its clearly clogging up with sediment. Cavitation would be when you show up and all components of the loop are working fine but are has been created by the umpella. (Cavitation) And p.s. since when does a stuck feeder mean the expansion tank could be bad? Lol explain that 1 to me. U must be a plumber lol call an boilerman.
