You guys really did hit the nail on the head perfectly. I came here to write about the three people you correctly mentioned. 1. Meera Vasudevan (wife) - She did that character at the age of 23! It's beyond incredible! 2. Jagathi Sreekumar (the friend) - Legendary actor. He's the tom to Mohanlal's jerry in all malayalam tom and jerry movies. But a lot lot more too. 3. Nedumudi Venu (father) - Another absolute legend. He worked so much with the giants of malayalam cinema 40 - 50 years back. And then, with everyone who came after. Character actors are the true stalwarts of this industry. Waiting for you to get to know Thilakan, Sreenivasan, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, Kalpana, KPSE Lalitha, and many more. Great to know you loved this movie but let me tell you this industry is not done amazing you. Cheers!

Yeah we had given a lot of attention to Mohan Lal and Arun Lal who were the pillars of the movie, but the three you listed and we mentioned were exceptional... Meera's face at the end is another one that is going to haunt me forever.. I think we have seen a little bit of Nedumudi Venu in Manichitrathazhu, and seen a I've seen a bit of Thilakan in Kireedam (man was good in that) as well... But your right, the character actors are exceptional in this industry and really are the glue it feels like. Can't wait to keep being amazed mate!
Its not possible to watch some movies, though very good, a second time cz of the emotional content..... This is one example... A master class in acting by Mohan Lal...🙏

This movie will always be remembered for the masterful acting. You know its a movie and yet he is able to draw you in and make you forget its a performance. Great reaction and discussion.

I still haven't watched the full movie at a stretch even after all these years. Its not an easy watch. If anybody asks you Why Mohanlal is known as the complete actor?? Suggesting them this movie is probably the best answer out there.
Completely understand not completing this movie.. the second half is really tough. The memories of this movie will haunt me forever. I mean his range of emotions in this one were incredible!

@@D54pod I just went through the movie, the subtitles are not that accurate specially towards climax. But to be fair, it's very difficult to write subtitles for MT Vasudevan Nair's script. I simply tried to translate the climax in my head and couldn't find the right words. Anyway, this is the only one available.
Man I really appreciate you for going the extra distance and checking the subtitles for us! Good to know about the subtitles, unfortunately that's just the reality sometimes. I think Malayalam is one of the more difficult languages to translate to English.

Similar movie from Mammootty is Thaniyavarthanam. Story is totally different.
We've had this movie recommended a few times, I think we'll have to cover it sometime soon!
