I think BangPD and BTS have a good relationship, one of the things he did is separate BigHit Music as an independent label when the HYBE rebranding happened... Last year I think, Jin posted a video of BangPD cooking for him and Jin was giggling. There are youtube compilation videos to showcase their close relationship. When asked about a great achievement, Jin said in an interview that he is proud that they can call him "hyung". Of course, we can only go off of what is shared with us nd no one truly knows the details of their relationship.
Funny you talked about the relationship between BTS and Bang PD. I just left a comment on another one of your vids pondering about that. Specifically about how common or uncommon it may be for a CEO in the industry to have that kind of relationship with their idols. I think allowing BTS to tease him and make those sort of jokes about him even when they were so young and didn't have much clout yet, it really worked in Bang PD's favour. It humanized him beyond just a corporate figurehead in the eyes of fans. Just as ARMY found BTS endearing, seeing the guys speak so fondly of Bang and joke about him made him seem more likeable, trustworthy and charismatic. He was treated as a beloved father figure with some people even joking that Bang was their bias or bias wrecker. I think it helped him to not be too strict about how BTS were allowed to refer to him publicly. Especially once they got the okay to start calling him "hyung", their dynamic felt more warm.

John, Eric now has a successful solo, independent career but also interviews on "Dive Studio's" Daebak Bar. Relatively recent Stray Kids and Jackson Wang segments are excellent examples of his skill setting up a "friendly but cool" hyung vibe

Me again. Bang PDnim is now 50/51. He is justly celebrated for sporting his BT21 crocs whilst watching TXT at "Hobipallooza" last year and despite frequently "clowning" him, the members do seem very fond (yes, he was refereced in Daechwita). Recently he allegedly bought the swish LA pad featured in Agust D's "People pt 2" video, but that might just be kpop bunkum

The comedians you talked about who are the hosts of Weekly Idol were actually really cruel to BTS. They ridiculed them, for example SUGA made a song for them to show his appreciation and played it and they were really dismissive, like they didn't even try to listen to it and just said it was bad from the beginning.
That mistreatment was one of the reasons Big Hit started RUN BTS as soon as they could to protect BTS from these situations.
Aren't they the ones that actually hurt a member of a Kpop gg (I don't remember who) by hitting her in the head too hard with a toy hammer?

@@komerican-og yeah the clips or episodes youve seen may have been funny but theyre actually very famous among kpop fans and not for good reason theyre one of the most hated people collectively by all kpop fandoms at least on the international sides because theres a lot of clips and videos of them hurting idols physically and mentally especially female idols. thats why they dont host the show anymore they were replaced due to complaints.
The weekly idol host for me as an International ARMY came off as perverts. They always wanted the idols kissing and hugging in some form of way to make them uncomfortable. Yes they show kinship differently than the west but they would go beyond that. In my opinion.
