I’m leaving this comment here to address the controversy that had been boiling up for quite some time now. The first thing I would like to address is the people thinking that the song had contained the N-Word previous to the unneeded censorship. Chinese singer Wowkie Zhang or Da Zhang Wei is not associated with racism towards anyone, especially black people. The song “Sunshine Rainbow White Pony” does **NOT** contain any type racial slur, It is just a song about, well, happiness. The part that most people compare to the ‘N-word’ is the line: “你是内内個 内内 内個内個 内内” which to my current knowledge means: “You’re the one, one and only…” And lastly, people saying that english isn’t the only language, and that the censorship was unnecessary. I acknowledge that English is only one of hundreds, if not thousands of languages. The censorship was made for comedic effect, not because it was ‘needed’. I’m truly sorry if I offended anyone. I did not mean to post this video in a harmful manner, I just wanted to make people laugh by following a popular take in comedy. If this hurt or offended anyone, especially Chinese or Black people, I sincerely apologise. And before you go, I would like to ask if I should delete this video. Before even writing this apology, I thought of deleting the video. But I realised that it’s better to address this and make people feel better than to erase my digital footprint and walk away like a coward.
