Поршневое кольцо - старое, все прокладки - старые. Люфт подшипников коленвала не проверяли. Праймер зачем-то на клей посадили (а по итогу еще и потёк 27:07). Игольчатый подшипник не заменили (28:28). I'm a very worthless person. This chainsaw has no value. It cost less than $200 brand new. It's not appropriate to restore and use the scraps, but I'm doing it to make money from the videos. I've made a lot of money from it.
Nice work! One little advice: never use torque on the spark plug. If you overtorque it, then you can strip the thread. Just simple thread it in with hand and fasten it a little with a plug wrench.
Great restoration mate, impressive skills including video editing. You didn't grease the main bearing (at least not on camera and started assembling it dry) and also the reason you were cutting curves in the test piece is uneven sharpening of the chain teeth (or possibly the chain too loose / sitting too high on the bar because of dressing the bar edge shallows the groove). Thanks for sharing!
This chainsaw is fairly new, maybe from around 2014, also You can see that there is barely any wear on the parts. The title of the video should be “complete disassembly / reassembly”. Restoration is when You restoring something very old and usually damaged / heavily used to perfect condition.
Very enjoyable video. I'm restoring an MS200T for myself and the fins have hard, baked on crud. Ryobi did a great job of keeping the engine and fins clean. Stihl did not. Brake cleaner and powerful burnt soldering flux solvents won't touch it. Oven cleaner will probably need multiple applications and heating of the upper to work. I'm cautious with caustic chemicals on the aluminum cylinder.
Excellent work and video! I especially liked how you re-tied the pull start handle rope exactly like the original, even if any knot would have worked! Great attention to detail and pride in your work.
In Argentina they bring an identical machine, probably a Chinese replica of this chainsaw with the name of Nakama 52. This video is excellent for repair!
Nice work, very satisfying to watch you bring it back to service and look good also. I wish you can show the weight of the saw and how many cc’s the engine is and maybe even length of the bar. Looks like Ryobi took cues from the top saw brands to make theirs. Looks very well built and I’m happy to see the detailed video angles.
I enjoyed the video, the restoration was well done and satisfying to watch. The chain could have been sharpened a bit more evenly and maybe tightened a bit more to cut well. Over all; a masterful job! Keep it up!
Although I usually love videos where you turn cord tools into cordless tools, I really enjoyed this one because it shows us how to properly dismantle a chainsaw, what is not always obvious ( because of counterclock screws and many other things ). And like usually, the great work you do into cutting the rushes and making videos without times off, is remarkable, your videos are so clean and relaxing to watch. Thank you for all that and keep doing what you are a master in, really ! :)
No oil was applied to bearings, seals, piston and cylinder. First "dry" start will wear cylinder surface. Stupid mistake and all job going directly to the trash bin. Grats! Keep it going!
Do you only like videos like this? I would like to know if you like my videos. In one of my latest projects, I made a sapphire ring from a titanium tube.
Absolutely beautiful work on the restoration side of things. Yes if its nut & bolt restoration, you may by pass those parts depending on their condition, but the only mention I'll make is what about inside the fuel and oil tank?!

Great job on resurrecting this saw. Ryobi makes an awesome machine; I traded a Mcculloch Pro Mac 850 and another Pro Mac 700 for a mint Ryobi. My saws needed fuel lines and i think carb diaphragms. Great job on resurrecting this saw. Ryobi makes an awesome machine; I traded a Mcculloch Pro Mac 850 and another Pro Mac 700 for a mint Ryobi. My saws needed fuel lines and i think carb diaphragms.
