When 971 was roaming from Bukit Panjang to the CBD areas with Habits in the wild. Man, those were the days pre-DTL3 rationalisation.

I feel it's not really a good idea to reroute bus routes just because of an MRT line. The bus routes running parallel to the MRT line would leave more choices for the commuters to travel to the CBD while solving the problems associated with overcrowding in MRTs.

Love this engine noise, 1113J was also a regular on 851 and sometimes 857 as well, that jerk when the bus speeds down the bridge into CTE and the back of the bus jerks up and down was pure bliss. On 851 too many memories associated to this particular plate number bus. And its brother 1112L as well

To be honest as a train enthusiast myself,i don't really feel anything special for this busses when it was around but now that they are gone i do understand their special aspects of this busses and i gotta say i miss riding this busses since my area is at Woodlands so it's very common here last time

I rode Hispano Carrocera Habit quite often in bus 176,bus 184 and bus 963R and 963 and 6 to 7 times on bus 188 with my parents when I was young Primary 2 that time

Hopefully TIB1238H gets send to new zealand or uk for preservation so it can continue to run coz no chance in SG😁Honestly it have been 1 year + already since it retired from revenue service. U would think lta/smrt would have found somewhere for it that is not a scrapyard by now instead of leaving it to rot😶

I think it was preserved by SMRT and not LTA, but yeah sad that the regulations don't allow it to be driven on the roads
